This is not investment advice. I’m neither qualified nor knowledgeable enough to do that.
However, I remember “backwardation” from 2008. Seeing it in silver for the first time in decades (or ever?) really made me jump today.
The attached short paper was prompted by the first ever occasion of backwardation of gold, which occurred during the 2008 Global Financial Crisis (almost certainly a manufactured event though no less real for that). The author was very clear about the likely implications of backwardation here.
Some people believe it’s a signal that we’re approaching the end of the global, unbacked, fiat currency system which has existed since the 1944 Breton Woods agreement as amended by the 1971 removal of the US dollar from the gold standard (the US ended the ability to convert USD into gold at a fixed price).
All governments are using one version or another of currencies backed by nothing beyond “confidence”.
History teaches that every such money system goes to zero, albeit in an unpredictable way especially in relation to timing.
What a perfect prelude to a Reset! If our money is declared worthless and if our assets are legally stolen, the vast majority of us will do exactly what they’re told by their governments.
Only the perpetrators know the timing & means of such a Reset, if that’s what this is about.
Normally, you can buy any commodity that’s traded in a number of ways. The most straightforward is to buy (or sell) in the “spot market”. The price you see as you click the execute trade button is what you’ll pay (or receive). The goods turn up a couple of days later.
Because commodities are being created all the time, you can also buy an option to buy the commodity in the future, say in three months. Now, for all commodities & for so long as there’s been a futures market, the futures price will be higher than spot. There are storage costs to the seller and more importantly they don’t get paid for three months (so forgo interest) yet carry the liability to deliver the goods. That normal premium varies between actual commodities and with market sentiment. This state of affairs is called contango. Why, I couldn’t tell you. It’s probably intended to confuse rather than to clarify.
Under exceptional conditions, the futures price is lower than spot, todays price. If you had confidence that all transactions would be honoured, this is free money. You’d sell your commodity and get the proceeds, and you could buy it all back in the futures market at a lower price, pocketing the difference. That’s why this generally can’t happen. This distortion is called “backwardation”. It was seen previously & briefly in gold in 2008 & it exists right now, in silver. I recall it happening in crude oil in 2008 (IIRC) and that’s what prompted me to learn a little about it.
What does backwardation signify here? One interpretation is that there are concerns about supply, which would force up spot prices. But if futures prices are lower, that’s got to include the possibility that you’re simply not going to get the silver indicated on your futures contract. Supply isn’t limiting. There’s a few years of mined output available above ground.
One commentator, who is a “gold bug”, stated that their concern is that we’re approaching the end of the fiat money era. Hence the extraordinary imperative to buy it right now, in the spot market, while obtaining it remains possible.
I am concerned that one component of The Great Reset is destruction of sovereign currencies. If you’ve even a little spare money, you could do a lot worse than to own a few coins of silver or gold.
One final thing about precious metals: there’s no “counterparty risk”. If you own UK “gilts” or US Treasuries, there’s always the risk of default.
Anyway, this event disturbed me enough to write a post on it. Make of that what you will. It’d be true to observe that I’ve got a certain view of the future which colours everything I see or read. It doesn’t mean it’s correct.

A person ahead of you in the supermarket checkout queue may face no difficulty in purchasing their items. But you might be prevented.
I tentatively conclude that the perpetrators plan is extraordinarily wide reaching. To control everyone and everything, everywhere & forever.
We can & must prevent this from happening, no matter the personal cost. There’s no life worth living in such a control system.
While it’d be great to see huge numbers of people with common understanding of this big picture, existential threat, marching in the streets, resistance is going to turn on the aggregate of a large number of private decisions.
Every additional person helped to see that there’s nothing worth having in the world these evil people have in mind, adds weight to the steadily growing resistance not to go along with it.
Also worth noting that while on paper, their planned control system is genius level clever, it’ll never be stable. Inevitably, it could only operate with extraordinary punishments for getting around its strictures. Sooner or later, because it would be only metastable and not anchored to a foundation of shared principles, it’ll be poised to fail in unpredictable ways.
Why not make “Preventing the perpetrators from winning” as your life’s mission, too? 🤗
In closing, I’m reminded that this multigenerational aspect injects a severe weakness into their mechanism of progress. Think about some of the Useless Eliters you see around. In the main, I don’t see them as particularly bright.
Their grandparents conceived this current assault, or one very like it, in the 1950s & 60s. Their parents initiated aspects of this. Now it falls to them to execute a plan they didn’t chose, along a path they didn’t set. I could almost feel sorry for them (I did say, almost!). But seriously, most of them cannot do anything more complicated than to make a sandwich, if that.
They are going to continue to make mistakes and to need to backtrack to cover these up.
I strongly urge everyone not to give houseroom to the notion that any of this is a done deal or is inevitable. I don’t think it is as at all. So delay compliance. Choose to decide later. Make them do something stupid. Make them make mistakes.

It’s bad that all she says, which is measured & quite limited, is so evident upon the slightest independent inspection, yet encroachment continues at pace.
I again make the Yeadon conjecture:
If she’s right and we ignore her, we will lose everything.
If we pay attention & she’s wrong, the worst that could happen is you’ll get laughed at.
The stakes are not faintly symmetrical. Any rational person, prompted to think even momentarily about what is going on, would chose the second option.
Why don’t more people chose this?
How can we nudge more people to take a look?
That’s rhetorical by the way. Though deadly serious at the same time.
I’ve confessed that I personally dropped the self-deception that with an extra heave, I could help stop this in its tracks, probably around three years ago. I hope you won’t judge me harshly because of it. I’m not a political leader or the chief executive of an enterprise. So I don’t have to fake enthusiasm that I don’t feel.
In exchange for this disappointment however, that I remember feeling palpably, I have developed instead an intense belief that preventing the perpetrators from *winning has become the most important objective in my life (alongside my family).
The perpetrators have shown astonishing patience. Many people initially reject an outline of what’s happened and where it’s likely that the crooks wish to take things, because the multi generational aspect of it is beyond most of us (hitherto, me included).
But there are numerous examples of members of the same families, decade after decade (& longer) pushing in the same, malign & controlling direction. The Rockefeller Foundation, for example. Unfortunately while this name is among the most widely recognised participant in crimes over many decades, their ilk are way too commonplace. Gates’, Musk’s, Schwab’s and many other families have at least two generations worth of consistent effort, undermining human freedoms.
Once you put to the sceptic, that the architects of this attempt to install a digital, totalitarian control system appear to regard their work as analogous to pursuit of a political or religious ideology, I think it suddenly becomes easier to envisage what’s afoot.
I do think that the time is ripe for getting more people to realise that, at the very least, there’s a worrying degree of authoritarian overreach all around us, at home as well as abroad. I say this, because it’s at last quite common to have even very brief conversations, in a shop or fuel station for example, in which the other person is deeply irked about something (or several things) official. This can only be a good sign. Such a person is primed for additional clues which they’ll be more likely to notice than they would have otherwise, only a few years ago.
As the lady in the street sagely observed (I’m paraphrasing here), “I think this is all linked. No matter what you begin to look into more deeply, you find it all converging on UN2030 objectives…”

I say that because they already had extraordinary powers to influence, even control, the fate of groups of anonymous people & even entire nations, before the 2020 coup. A quantitative tweak, even quite a large one, doesn’t change anything, qualitatively, from their perspective.
This is why I interpret what the perpetrators are doing as preparation for installing totalitarian control at the level of the individual. That’s their dream. Censorship is highly tunable and so will digital control be. The myriad ways in which we will each lose agency, if we allow them to succeed, is insanely personal.
If we get to the world in which you can buy only with cashless CBDC linked to your jab-validated, digital ID, your problems are entirely your own.

But if you don’t, I ask that you rebut my concerns about how this new format digital ID could be used. If you agree that it COULD be so used, I implore you not to sign up for it. If you do, the perpetrators no longer need anything from you, not even your consent. It’s on automatic pilot. Tyranny is around the corner, if the perpetrators so decide it. There’s nothing further you can do.
Alternatively, make it IMPOSSIBLE for them to impose the nightmare scenario I lose sleep over. The only one, really.
