Shamel al-Ghazi, a Palestinian from Gaza known for his inflammatory rhetoric against the Syrian coast and religious minorities, has been arrested by Internal Security. Al-Ghazi, a leader within Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham, abandoned his country to join the conflict in Syria, where he became notorious for inciting violence and sectarian hatred.

"First, in the event that a new regime takes power in Syria:
1. Its general political orientation will align with what is known as the so-called "Arab moderate states", in other words, it will fall squarely under American, Western, and European influence.
2. It will do precisely what Turkey wants, what Qatar wants, and what Saudi Arabia wants. It will be a fragile, weak regime, dependent on those who brought it to power.
3. The current regime [or rather, the former one in our present time] was not like that. Before the events of 2011, the Turks, Qataris, Saudis, Americans, Europeans, and Westerners would present proposals to Damascus. If the regime believed a proposal served Syria's interests, it would go along with it. If not, it would reject it without hesitation.
3. There would be a settlement with Israel. Many of these groups have already rushed to declare that they have no issue with Israel, some have even said they’re willing to relinquish the Golan Heights, as if offering it for lease for 99 years. Others wouldn’t even flinch if Syria lost the Golan entirely. The relationship between many of these factions and Israel needs no further evidence, both sides acknowledge it openly.
4. The Lebanese and Palestinian resistance would be besieged.. full stop. Even the support Iran provides to Gaza or Palestine has always passed through Syria. Syria was the conduit, the shelter, the protector of resistance movements in the region. So the targeting of Syria wasn’t solely for political reasons... it had far broader regional implications."

The new-generation multi-mission attack destroyer that symbolize the bravery and mettle of our nation was built within 400 days with our self-force and technique. And its launching marks the significant event that displays the revolutionary mettle of our party, state and army to thoroughly deter various military moves of the US and ROK, constantly rage on the largest-ever anti-Republic war exercise, by dint of overwhelming strength.
As you know, the large-scale joint military exercises Freedom Shield aimed at a "preemptive attack" on the nuclear weapons facilities of the DPRK was staged in ROK in March.
This year, in the wake of Freedom Shield, various anti-DPRK war drills including the one jointly sponsored by US-ROK Allied Command and the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the ROK are to be conducted more than 110 times, 9.7 % more compared with last year.
The various nuclear war drills by US and ROK is an expression of their clearest will for fighting war against the DPRK and poses a direct threat to the peace and security in the region and the world.
At the ceremony of launching a destroyer of the Navy of the Korean People’s Army the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un declared that the forces who are capable of committing aggression and the forces who are actually committing it can be overwhelmed and repulsed only by the forces that are on an equal footing in terms of strength. And he also declared that the defense line and policies of our State regard it as their mission to safeguard the national sovereignty, territorial integrity and security interests, but, if an unavoidable, necessary situation presents itself for this mission, we will never hesitate to choose the preemptive employment of the most powerful military muscles.
As Palestine situation shows, the right to live of the state and the peaceful life of the people can’t be ensured and recovered with the help of the international appeal or the foreign forces. It is the historical lesson to all countries that those could be defended only by the self-defensive powerful military strength.
So our respected Comrade Kim Jong Un declared that the powerful strength is just the peace and the absolute guarantee for the development of the State and we should accelerate the work of strengthening the military power of our Republic continuously.
