Today I start packing my art studio.
Almost exactly 6 years ago I begin moving in to my studio. Before it became my studio it served as a workshop for the man who built the house. The walls were lined with some kind of foam insulation. Not a hard surface. EH and I and a helper we hired framed in the walls and hung plywood so my studio could evolve into what it is today.
Before we hung the plywood, we wrote blessings on the foam walls behind:

I stopped by my new house to take some measurements for some furniture in my bedroom, and the contractors are in full swing. Pure chaos right now. I can't wait to see the finished product.

I've always heard that dogs start to settle down between 18 and 24 months of age.
Let me tell you, that's a total lie, at least as far as Penny is concerned. She's even more of a hurricane kangaroo than she was the day we brought her home. I adore her. She's the cutest. But she is A LOT.

There's a gym very conveniently located near my new house, and they have Zumba classes.
After my hip-hop dance classes last year, I knew that that particular kind of dance wasn't for me, but I still really want to do some kind of dancy cardio exercise, so I'm going to give the Zumba classes a shot.
