My reply - @elonmusk is right; it is crazy, especially since the lower end of commercial SMR designs is around 5–20 MW(e), which can revolutionize the power grid.
A small 20MW SMR can power about 16,425 homes, a large commercial building, or two that the power & control from the large power companies while also making it MUCH easier to restore power to areas hit by 'natural disasters'.
So, if every neighborhood, commercial building, & industry had its own power supply, this would decentralize the power grid and remove control from the large Power Companies while causing energy prices to plummet to pennies on the dollar.
