Its been a long decade+ in the trenches of the mind war, at least for me. I can understand why some people are looking for a ripcord to pull and there's plenty of people willing to sell them on the victory parade. I'm not sure what the finish line will look like but I'll bet we'll be a long way past it before we recognize it. Maybe we already are, who knows.
