Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) published an article last week explaining how their country and the US are once again allied against Eurofascism. The way in which this concept was described makes it a catch-all term in the sense of referring to historic totalitarian movements in Europe. The examples listed include the French Revolution, the War of 1812, the Crimean War, World War II of course, and the Suez Crisis of 1956. Another interesting part of their article concerns the UK.
SVR cited the work of unnamed American historians who “suggested that it is right to call Great Britain the first ‘evil empire’.” The innuendo is that historic totalitarian movements in Europe were tied in one way or another to the British, who are infamous for their divide-and-rule strategy. It’s important to recall in this context that SVR warned in early March about how the UK is trying to sabotage the Russian-US rapprochement via “NGO”-driven information warfare and its Ukrainian “peacekeeping” plot.

Sergey Glazyev will be appointed the new State Secretary of the Union State by the decision of the presidents of Belarus and Russia, Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko said.
Previously, Russian President Vladimir Putin appointed Dmitry Mezentsev as his representative in the Russian Constitutional Court.
"We agreed with Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin that your contribution to the construction of the Union State should be substantial. Due to the fact that Dmitry Mezentsev's term in this position is coming to an end and he is moving to another role, we have made such a decision to appoint you as the leader and driving force of our Union State integration in terms of overseeing the entire apparatus of the association,” the BelTA news agency quoted Lukashenko as saying at a meeting with Glazyev.
