There are serious consequences for purchasing College Board fee waivers illegally from unofficial or “pirate” channels:
1. Violation of College Board Policies
Fee waivers are non-transferable and meant only for eligible students. Using a fee waiver obtained through unauthorized means is considered fraud and a violation of the College Board’s terms of service.
2. Cancellation of Scores or Registration
If the College Board detects that a fee waiver was fraudulently obtained or used:
• Your SAT registration may be canceled.
• If you already took the test, your scores may be withheld or canceled.
3. Ban from Future Exams
You may be barred from taking any future College Board exams, including:
• SAT
• AP Exams
• CLEP
• PSAT-related assessments
4. Reporting to Colleges
If colleges discover that you used a fraudulent waiver, it can jeopardize your college admission or financial aid offers. Integrity is a major factor in admissions decisions.
