While the shout for having White children can be heard in every corner of our cause, what seems ever so absent is the call to be good fathers, good mothers, good husbands, and good wives. You can have all the White children you want, but if those children grow to hate you and reject everything you stand for, for what purpose was it all?

Often it is both.

Disappointment or Discipline, those are your two choices.
I know you probably don't feel like going to the gym or picking up the weights at home or taking the time to do your squats when you wake up. I know I don't. I have to force myself awake and huff my way through my morning exercises because I like to do 'em right when I get up. I don't want to do them, but if I don't then I end up disappointed and sad. I get angry at myself and ask "Why? Why'd you wait? Your people need you." Knowing that because I decided to push the labor off for another time and lessened my ability to help my people causes great strife in my heart.
Every day I have to tell myself "It doesn't matter if you want to, you have to. Now get to it." When I don't, again, I get disappointed and sad because I know I failed. I chose the easy way out rather than take the time and do the work and feel good for the rest of the day.
Exercise makes household chores easier, makes me feel good, and sets me on the path to actually be useful to my people rather than just saying it over and over. A man who just says it but doesn't act it isn't much of a man and is rightly regarded as lesser than. The shame of that can make a decent man sick, and I like to consider myself at least half decent.
So make your choice. Do you want to be disappointed? Or build discipline, do the work when you don't want to, and be better for it?
