The White House budget office has proposed eliminating funding for United Nations peacekeeping missions, citing failures by operations in Mali, Lebanon and Democratic Republic of Congo, according to internal planning documents.

UPDATE: Four students were injured, two by gunfire, when someone opened fire at Wilmer Hutchins High School in Dallas, according to local officials and witnesses, just over a year after another shooting on campus. The status of the suspect was not immediately clear.
The exact circumstances of the shooting were not immediately clear but witnesses reported hearing up to 7 gunshots. Two people were shot, including a 17-year-old male student who was shot in the leg.
