Nineteen. End of the Little Prince.
19. Wait, what? Am I? No, stop it. End of my teen era? No way.
I obnoxiously stopped feeling special on my birthdays after my 13th. The people I needed weren’t there anymore. It wasn’t special. I wasn’t happy. But I kept celebrating. Pretending. Because I didn’t want to end my little-prince-hood era. I kept lying — not to others, but to myself.
Even though it wasn’t special anymore, I couldn’t stop acting like a kid. Because who wants responsibility, right? Fuck it. Who cares what’s going to happen to you, besides yourself?
Up until now, I worked hard for one reason: to make my father proud. I lived for the satisfaction in his eyes. Nothing else mattered — not praise, not awards. Just his approval.
But I’m done with that. Not in a bitter way — just… I have to move on. I think he’s proud. Maybe he never said it out loud. But I felt it.
Things I care about have changed. I care more about the people around me now. I always did, but it wasn’t my priority. Now it is.
Some find peace in religion. Others in meditation. For me, it’s in service. Helping others. Giving back. I wake up with faith in change. Even when what I’m doing seems wrong, I know my end goal — giving something back.
I didn’t have a purpose writing this. Just woke up at 3AM and thought about myself.
I’m grown up now. Not a teen anymore. I’ve been doing things illegally since 14, and now I can finally do them legally. I just burned that kid today. And promised — to myself only — that I will make something of this life.
Good days or bad, I’ll stand by myself. Because I know others won’t. I hope this chapter will be full of memories I’ll cherish. And when I’m old, I won’t regret.
I’m still figuring things out. Still learning how to slow down. Still teaching myself it. However, to the ones who stuck around, even when I couldn’t explain what I was going through — thank you.

Good part of the day everyone!
We are working on a documentary film and research paper associated with University of Toronto x Columbia University about Uzbekistan and youth between May 15 to June 7.
I need 15-20 people to conduct interviews in different parts of Uzbekistan, no matter in what language and in what region of Uzbekistan. Only thing I incapable of doing is I cannot work with anyone under 15 years old according ethical rules that we were given by both universities.
I need people in different sectors:
1. Young people—any one of you guys are more than welcome to be part of our project if you want to.
2. School administrators in both public and private sectors
3. People who work in government sector for more than 5 years.
4. Students who got into Top universities or are studying right now at certain university
5. Anyone that we will be good example to represent an Uzbekistan citizen to the world.
6. People who can help with logistical issues in different parts of Uzbekistan, including Tashkent and Tashkent region.
If anyone has contacts with such people or willing to take part in themselves are welcome to reach me out at @diyorbeknomozovv ; just one reminder that your message has to include brief information about yourself or person you are suggesting and how can you help us with research.
We can provide certificates and letters of appreciation by University of Toronto and Columbia University for anyone who will be helping us during our research.

Be honest with yourself. Why would you go to an academic lyceum, private school, or public school when they don’t give you value?
A bunch of selfish people run the school egoistically without even realising that NO ONE knows about your lyceum or school in reality at all!
Opportunities? I bet you will get more opportunities when they set you free instead of chaining up until 3 p.m. or whatever.
Education Quality? [if there any] Just because it’s hard to get into an academic lyceum does not mean the education there is valuable or beneficial.
I left the #1 academic lyceum of its time in Uzbekistan after just studying for 1 semester there. I didn’t see the vision there.
I returned to Target because it was more than a school. I saw the vision and the opportunity there. I was one of the 50 people who got into the Uzbek class of that lyceum out of 5,000 applicants. I didn’t even think about what I saw giving up at that time.
Here I am, at one of the best universities in the world, studying on a full-ride scholarship; meanwhile, they are still proud of their students who got El-yurt Umidi because of nepotism or got admitted to mid-level European universities.
