We act with clarity and transparency — unlike how certain individuals here have chosen to behave.
The sale process of UVD began on January 7th and was finalized on March 16th.
Included in the sale were the source code, ownership of the bot, and the database.
We had also intended to transfer this channel voluntarily, but due to the original founder's account being deleted, it was technically impossible to complete that handover.
The buyer — whom we'll refer to as the new owner — was, until recent events, someone I held in high regard, especially given his involvement in other major projects. As agreed, he received everything included in the deal.
Since his developer was unavailable at the time, we stepped in to help him configure the bot. However, due to a series of technical issues, it couldn’t be set up on his server right away.
To ensure everything kept running smoothly in the meantime, we hosted UVD on our own server for over a month — just as he requested.
If you’re looking for proof, just check the bot’s uptime. It remained consistently online throughout most of the transition — up until the point when we started feeling strung along and disrespected.
After that, the new owner completely disappeared and stopped communicating with us for many days.
Doesn’t that sound like a joke? Especially when there's actual money involved.
And yet, in his channel, we’re somehow being painted as the ones who mishandled things.
As of today, there’s a new project: @govd_bot — created by Stefano, the former owner of UVD, who hasn't been part of the team for quite some time.
It's important to clarify that @govd_bot is not intended to be the successor to UVD, nor a “better version” of it. It's a separate, independent bot, and we mention it here solely to avoid confusion and make that distinction clear.
We’ve always acted with full transparency. We still do. And we always will.
