I put my all into my work. I’m so lucky to have been doing this for years. This endeavor going well is also a clear testament to my dedication and hard work. I have every right to protect the niche I created for myself. It’s a beautiful thing to have built this small business with my full authenticity and devotion. Every betrayal and emulation has simply reinforced my fervor and pushed my business into a more exclusive and beautiful space. There is no “winning” for someone operating from a place of mimicry and spewing shitty little whispers to feel better about being spurious. Nothing feels as good as being genuine and carving your own lane. Creating art from a place of spirit and originality. People who come along and try to follow in the tracks someone else made (while simultaneously attempting to disparage) can only ever be a cheap imitation. And deep down, they know this is the truth of it. And folks, if you’re going to do something that someone is already doing and they were your obvious and direct inspiration: just say that instead of hiding behind lies and acting like a victim. People have discernment and will see right through it.
