What is remarkable about the attack on Arnon today?
Arnon and Shqeef are located north of the Litani river.
In the US-French map of the cease-fire understandings, they were added to the procedures south of the Litani.
But the Lebanese side did not agree to that. The Council of Ministers (chaired by President Mikati) took note of the American-French declaration, which attached to the American Embassy a map extending the procedures south of the Litani to what the Israeli enemy calls the "Wadi al-Shaqif", that is, Yohmor and Arnon and their extension towards the Litani River to the south and east.
Nevertheless, President Nabih Berri informed the American side before the end of the war that any understanding does not include them.
After the announcement of the ceasefire, the Lebanese army, led by General Joseph Aoun, submitted to the Cabinet a plan for its deployment in the southern Litani area.
Naturally, the army's plan did not include Yohmor and Arnon.
What does that mean? It means that the army, led by General Joseph Aoun, was not in agreement with the inclusion of of these towns in the measures south of the Litani.
The matter remained this way, until American delegates came, and the last of them (the Sharshuha) Morgan Ortagos, to demand that the Lebanese army take over "a military tunnel belonging to Hezbullah in Yahamar al-Shaqif".
The Yohmor tunnel remained the focus of discussions between the Americans and the Lebanese side, knowing that it is a destroyed tunnel.
Despite this, Hezbullah informed the army that it does not object to handing over the tunnel to the army.
In doing so, the army took charge of the security of the two towns (knowing that Arnon does not have any regular positions for the party) and the Lebanese army has established 3 points in the towns
Conclusion: Yohmor and Arnon are under the complete control of the Lebanese army.
And Arnon has no positions for Hezbollah, and the position that the Americans demanded in Yahmar was taken over by the army already, knowing that it was destroyed.
Why all these details?
Because what happened in Arnon and Yohmor is a model for the behavior of the enemy (the American Israelis) as well as the behavior of the Lebanese state and the government.
The state asked Hezbullaj and so it responded within the framework of the understanding with the army commander and the president of the republic.
The state made a concession on the "withdrawal of grounds" rule.
How did the enemy respond? Responded aggressively to Arnon today. They didnt even target any individual or Hezbullah assets.
How will the state recover? What is its position?
Hezbullah did everything the government asked within 1701. Hezbullah and south Lebanon got zero security and only more Israeli violations and weakness from the government.
✍ If the war ended in a declaration of defeat I'll tell you the government cannot be blamed. But the war ended with 1701 which Hezbullah fully obeyed and disarmed in the south while Israeli violated 3,000 times and wipes out towns and continues to attack and kill daily
