“I wanted very much to attend the special events in Moscow, with my visit being focused on confirmation of the strategic partnership between our states,” he said at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin. “I rate high our interaction in the political field, including the high level of organization of meetings of the Russian-Egyptian intergovernmental commission. I hope that the 15th meeting of the intergovernmental commission that will take place in Moscow on May 12-14, will also be held successfully and fruitfully,” he said.

"Truth is finding its way out,” Dmitriev noted.

"We basically believe that if there are no cardinal changes for the better in the US policy on the Russian track, there will be no prospects for preserving this particular treaty," he said.

"The text provides for a one-time extension for 5 years. Everything we could say on this subject, we said a long time ago, long before the current situation in our relations with the US, which is not just about absolute stagnation, but a complete paralysis, a complete cessation of dialogue on strategic stability," Ryabkov said.

“Last year bilateral trade turnover increased by more than 30%, reaching a record of $9 bln, while in the first two months of this year it gained more than 80%,” Putin said. “Our cooperation is diverse, based on provisions of the treaty on comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation,” he added.

“Through their aides, the Russian president and President Trump exchanged congratulations on our shared holiday,” he said on Channel One television.
