hello cute nerds in my phone i need help finding a post again
it's the one about the "trans news outlets" that only post fearmongering, and how you can't align yourself with the liberals who want an excuse to not care
please post in comments and i will forward it to the channel, i will reward u handsomely (a fleeting sense of accomplishment and recognition)
ty in advance

as someone who studied math and has interest and some experience in education, i try to keep a very fine balance between "it's okay that you don't understand this, you aren't dumb for struggling" and "this isn't as hard as you think it is, and you can understand it"
because for most people that struggle with math, both of those are true
there's a key point in math where concepts stop feeling intuitive and natural. it comes at different points for different people. when it comes, the educational environment is what determines whether someone falls in love with math or resents it forever. that is to say: it's not your fault.
but it's not too late, either. you can still play with numbers and their patterns. you can still learn what a confidence interval means
what im really trying to say is, it's so so important to stay curious. you don't have to be smart, but be curious
thanks for coming to my ted talk
