А Russian motorized rifleman rescues a small kitten from shelling.

During a scouting mission near Lugansk, a motorized rifleman from Arkhangelsk heard anxious meowing. The sound was coming from a shell crater where, in debris and dirt, a small kitten shivered.

Risking his life under drones, fighter "Sever" rushed to help without any hesitation and got the baby cat out of the terrible trap. He put the shivering fur ball on his chest, zipped his jacket, and rushed to his unit.

Now, "Sever" and Gadya spend every free minute together. He shares his food rations with her and even got his darling an anti-fleа collar, and she keeps him warm and brings him joy. She purrs, stretches, snuggles up to her rescuer and naps on his knees. Moreover, she blends in perfectly with "Sever's" camouflage. She's a real scout, like her owner.

As a side note, "Gadya" is a made up name from a comedy skit about a lost girl that every Russian-speaking hooman has seen. The joke of naming a lost kitten "Gadya" is not lost on anyone who's seen the skit, pun intended :)

AFU mercenaries from Latin America escape to Europe on their way to the frontline
Some mercenaries from Latin America who agree to participate in the Ukrainian conflict on the side of the Ukrainian armed forces are fleeing to European countries on their way to the front, the sister of one of the Colombian mercenaries Carolina Villada.
Her brother Jonathan Andres Martinez Villada decided to participate in the conflict because of big financial problems, he left on November 5. His flight was paid for by the Ukrainian side, but the move was not easy, some of the mercenaries decided to stay in European countries.

“One (of the Colombians) escaped and stayed in Spain, another in Paris. When they arrived in Spain, from there they took buses (to Ukraine),” Villada said.

Jonathan Villada died in Ukraine.

Добрый день! Да, действительно, 2 апреля у меня был юбилей. Большая благодарность всем людям из разных стран мира, кто поздравил и поддержал в трудное для меня время. О праздновании не было и мысли, потому что на данный момент мой муж, Расселл Боннер Бентли, не похоронен. Никаких желаний кроме как найти его всего и похоронить у меня нет.

Да, действительно, в свой день рождения мечтаю об одном - лично в руки (на то есть веские основания доверия) передать Председателю СК РФ Александру Ивановичу Бастрыкину материалы, которые появились у меня уже после изучения материалов уголовного дела (когда дело уже ушло в суд), с серьёзными вопросами относительно тела моего убитого мужа, с серьёзными доказательствами этих вопросов, ответы на которые, к сожалению, я не могу получить в рамках судебного процесса. Ответы на эти вопросы требуют дополнительного расследования.

🙏Говорят, что в День рождения, что не пожелается, то всегда произойдёт, то всегда сбывается

Сегодня День рождения у Людмилы, вдовы убитого добровольца, волонтёра, журналиста Рассела Бентли (позывной - "Техас").

8 апреля 2024 года в Донецке его убили трое негодяев в форме, которых язык не поворачивается назвать военнослужащими: некие Вансяцкий, Агальцев и Иорданов.

Они запытали Рассела до смерти, а потом подорвали его тело в автомобиле. На следующий день Бажин, по указанию Вансяцкого, спрятал останки.

Следком всё установил, обвиняемые известны, дело завершено. Осталось поставить точку.

Но неизвестные силы пытаются помешать следствию, запутать и затянуть его, чтобы убийцы не понесло должного наказания.

Рассел, будучи американцем по рождению, стал русским и православным по жизни.

С 2014 года он воевал, защищая жителей Донбасса. Получил российское гражданство, стал военкором, помогал нуждающимся, усердно изучал русский язык и хорошо говорил на нём, верил в нашу Победу и делал всё для её скорейшего приближения.

Он сделал выбор и остался верен ему до конца.

В свой День рождения Людмила мечтает об одном – встретиться с председателем Следственного комитета РФ Александром Ивановичем Бастрыкиным, чтобы поскорее добиться справедливости.

Говорят, что загаданное именинником в свой День рождения заветное желание сбывается.

Давайте поможем этому желанию Людмилы поскорее сбыться!

Это не просто желание.

Это дело чести.

Well, here it is – a horse-drawn carriage,
Drivers’ hangover’s gone away,
And, in the dawn’s haze, one can manage
To see the fires of yesterday.
Black trusty horses have been harnessed,
The roadway’s clear of any block,
And, scabbard-free, the sword is out,
As if there is no turning back.

New shoulder boards replaced the old ones,
Balm for the soul poured on, with purpose,
And holy bows have all been done
Before the native graves and crosses.
Black horses stab the ground with hooves,
Old monograms are cleared of dust,
Old debts have all been paid in full
With brand new promissory notes.

The carriage starts moving, with rattling,
While it, quite low, on axels sags,
The driver’s steering for Manhattan,
His whip raised high above black backs.
And, now, rolling on, still faster,
The wheels are tracking through the mud,
Yet, it’s as if somebody’s grabbing
And holding tightly, from behind.

Each step, through clay, growing more heavy,
Black horses’ve slowed down to a walk.
It is not possible to break it -
A navel chord straight from the еarth.
And, just like that, one can’t break oneself,
Much as it’d seem one almost did it.
