Egypt seems to be one of the places where the Sons of At-al-land went after the sinking of their Homeland in the North Sea. There they formed a Ruling Elite over the peoples of that land. There - the Land of Magic - they built a great Aryan Civilisation that lasted over a long period of time. Tolkien has Ingwe leading the Ingwaiwar out of part of this sunken North-West Homeland.

We have several legends of how the High-Born Woman chooses here spouse-mate from a selection of men, she thus has the important role of ensuring that the Royal Blood-Line is kept not only pure, but also strong and virile - hence the choice of the Aryan Hero.

Valkyrie/Walkyrie - 'Chooser of the Slain'. The term 'Val'/'Wal' being taken to be 'slain' and ''kyren' (German) meaning 'to choose'; the Aryan Root WAR/WAL can also mean 'to choose'. However, the word 'val'/'wal' can also refer to battle or combat - 'Chooser in Combat'. This is where Gorsleben makes a very interesting observation, that Rig-Kon is taught the 'fogla kyrra' translated as 'Language of the Birds'. However, 'kyrra' is the German 'kyren' and thus we have 'Bird-Chooser', and even here there is yet another hidden meaning, for vogeln means 'to fuck'. The essence of this is that the idea here is that the High-Born Woman chooses her spouse and mate; this is shown where Sigrun the Valkyrie chooses Helgi as the bravest hero on the battlefield. This is also inherent in the Wolsunga Saga where Sigdrifa is pricked by a Sleep-Thorn by Woden and placed on a mountain-top, surrounded by the Vafer-Flames, through which only a fearless Aryan Hero can pass - it is thus Sigdrifa who chooses her spouse and mate - Sigurd the Wolsunga.

A great secret lies in Woden's Initiation on Yggdrasil - a secret found in the 'Cry of Need' that he yelled as he picked up the Ancient Runes - AEPANDI NAM. The term AEPA refers to 'Crossing the Abyss' in Occult Lore - 'For below the Abyss, contradiction is division, but above the Abyss, contradiction is unity.' Woden, when 'Crossing the Abyss' reaches a Higher State of Consciousness, where he recovers the Ancient Runes which bear within themselves their polar-opposites. Each rune has a meaning, and its polar-opposite meaning inherent within itself. Both Hegel and Nietzsche had a glimpse of this idea.

Spent the last few days getting the gardening done, as well as clearing the allotment plots ready for growing there too. In the area I live we cannot get rid of the small plots, so I've taken on four of them myself this year. A chap who is older than I am has a large area at the back of his house, rented from the council, and I often ask his advice, since he has been doing it longer than I have.

Here is an interesting thing about the Legend of Horus. The Winged Sun-Disk was a Symbol of Horus, also that of Heru-Behutet who seems to be an aspect of Horus. Horus, like Woden, in some versions of the myth, loses an Eye. The Winged Sun Disk symbolises Divinity, Royalty, Supreme Power and is the Sun of Righteousness. Heru-Behutet appears as HADIT in Aleister Crowley's Book of the Law, whose symbol is the Winged Sun-Disk - the Kundalini or Fire-Snake - thus linked to Ingwe. "Horus, Son of Isis, cut the head off the Enemy (Set)." Kenneth Grant upturned Crowley's Solar Religion of The Will, turning this into a Cthonic Cult of Set. The Winged Sun-Disk is symbolic of the Solar Light, the defeater of the Dark Forces.

Sites such as Silbury Hill, Stonehenge, Glastonbury, Avebury and Wayland's Smithy were not built by the Saxons, but their power would have been known to the Saxons, and no doubt they would have known that their Ancestors were the builders of such Sacred Areas. New Agers, modern 'Druids' etc. now use these sites (and abuse them) and many English Heathens seem to ignore them, but these were likely once part of the now-sunken At-al-land, and thus sacred to the Ingefolk who came out of At-al-land.

Just looked up this, and the dance is - 'Two steps forward, one step back, a sway and a stamp....' which is not so far off the 1-2-3 formation that I mentioned. This, she says was done at Midsummer at the Troiaburh, a maze, which is akin to the Walburg - Spiral Mound' spoken of here.

Re-reading 'Hoch-Zelt der Menschheit' by Rudolf John Gorsleben I came across a piece that has an excellent slant on the Walkyries and the the Walburg names. Gorsleben sometimes goes overboard with is Folk-Etymology but here we have a good example of how this can open new areas of thought on Heathen Lore. Gorsleben was an Armanen Adept working on the Runes recovered by Guido von List. The proof of their work can be seen in that they, and others, certainly paved the way for the Wotan Avatar to arise in Germany.

Woodland-Camping I do on a regular basis, around once a month or more during the spring-summer months; winter camping I do too, but not on a regular basis. It would be a different matter when I was younger, but now it keeps me fit and active and a break from doing this stuff online! (Though this has to be done to try to help others to see how interesting life can be when getting back into tune with Nature.)

This is the Seleburg - Silbury Hill - another type of Sacred Hill, here used no doubt by the Saxons in England. Sele = Holy, Sacred, thus Sacred Hill. Post-holes on the hill suggest a Sacred Hall (Open Site) was on the top of the mound.

If I remember rightly, in 'Spellcraft - Old English Heroic Legends' by Kathleen Herbert we find the Walburgen being used in spiral fertility-dances in the Spring of the year, where the young teamed up with a partner. This does not state that it was done in regard to the breeding-up of the High-Born, but I think it mentions this dance as being much the same as that which I have used in the past - EIN (In) - ZWEI (Sway) - Drei (Turn) - though not relating this to German Numbers. (This work is actually not based upon 'Old English Heroic Legends' but on Norse and Germanic Legends using Old English names.)

The Myth of Hamlet - Hamlet's father is slain by his own brother; Hamlet plays 'The Fool' in order that his uncle should not see his aim of revenge. Hamlet slays his father's killer, his uncle. Osiris is slain by his brother Set; Horus, Son of Osiris slays his father's murderer - Set - Egyptian Myth. Persian Myth - Kau Khusrau's father is slain by his own brother, he then plays 'The Fool' to avoid his uncle knowing his aim of revenge. Kau Khusrau slays his father's murderer!

We can see this clearly in the film 'Tristan & Isolde' but in a slightly varied form, where Isolde (Frau Salde) is to be wed to the strongest in combat. Unfortunately, this does not quite end as was wished, since Tristan was fighting for another man, and not himself, even though he won - Heroic Tragedy.

This idea of the choosing of the fearless hero by the high-positioned woman is done in order that the High-Born Royal Lines of the Germanic Folk would be true to type - Racial Selection. This would have been done through the Royal Art of Astrology through which the formation of a Leader-Caste would be bred in accordance with the positions of the planets and stars. The type of offspring would be done according to the influence of the stars - racially pure, and the correctly-bred Caste. An example of this seems to be found in the legends associated with AEngus (Ingus?) and New Grange, which is certainly positioned towards certain planets and stars. Gorsleben also noted that the Cult of the Walburg is involved here, and so Walpurgisnight ('Night of the Witches') may well have been associated with the Valkyries, later turned into 'witches'. This does seem to be born out by the fact that the Valkyries, when choosing the hero, ride to him on a Sacred Horse.

The main thing here is to get out and do something, not just talk about it. This makes life so much more interesting, and also, helping young children to learn the basic skills of life sets them up for later life. And, lets be fair, the basic skills to survive are the most important things anyone needs - and which are today overlooked. Today, the basic things in life are - for most - provided by the State System. And that means enslaving oneself to the State System! Any break from this reliance upon the State and Global Corporations (one and the same really) is an act of rebellion!
