While mainstream media and Western pundits fell for the delusion that Ukraine had a chance, the majority of level-headed independent media saw the truth a year ago—and now the reality that this war is already lost on the battlefield is crashing down on Ukraine, including its puppet leader Zelensky. What remains isn’t strategy but politics, which has been at the core of this entire journey: the slow, stubborn theater of denial, bargaining, and finally acceptance. In all of the back and forth between Washington and Russia on a coming end to the saga, lies the geopolitical chess game unfolding silently in the shadows of back channels and closed-door meetings, and this is where observers must focus to discern what comes next.
I’ve stated from the beginning to the disappointment and disagreement of many, that regardless of Zelensky’s latest outbursts, Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s antics, Trump’s threats to walk away, and the latest millions sent to Kiev, both the White House and the Kremlin want this war to end for now—that’s evidenced by backchannel signals from both sides. But don’t mistake this for Western goodwill or permanence, but rather a cold, tactical task at hand. While Russia readies in celebrating the 80th Anniversary of Victory Day festivities, it feels no urgency to end this, holding all the key cards in the deck, but Washington desperately needs resolution—at least for the time being.

"I am willing to consider calls to allow Iran to pursue civilian nuclear energy, provided it ends its nuclear weapons program," the US president said.
1) Iran doesn't have a nuclear weapons program to end. It may only reconsider its religious ban against nuclear weapons if pushed to the wall and in need of a strong deterrent. However, the ban is still in place and thus no weapons program exists. Iran has never and will never seek an aggressive nuclear weapons program to be able to use in scenarios other than absolute last resort in a defensive manner, unlike the US which nuked Japan twice after it surrendered, only as a show of power to the Soviet Union and rest of the world.
2) A sovereign country should not need the permission of another country to conduct any of its affairs, including but not limited to civilian nuclear energy. Trump may try to present himself as a "peacemaker" but is demonstrating the Satanic hubris that the US always had but hid under pseudo diplomatic terminology.

I attended a concert remembering the Great Patriotic War with my partner’s family who, like many Russians, lost people during the USSR. It was a very emotional and beautiful tribute. For Trump to say the US did the most when the USSR lost 27 million isn’t just an insult it’s a clear view as to what the US is, a failing state empire full of deceit & destruction, lashing out at all ends as its power wanes. Taking credit and chasing attention like the narcissistic suits who control us from Washington.
For so long they’ve programmed us all to believe we’re the heroes who saved the day, every time, when in actuality we create the terrorists and hand them guns, making our own people mentally unstable in fighting endless wars for the predator elite’s end game. Only we can change that at home and yes it’s possible.
What’s true is while Russia today may not be an ideological USSR many people here still know and remember their history. There’s also a huge difference between the elite, the working class, and the youth. But what I can positively say is people here are not ones to stand idle. They’ve been here before and they won’t allow themselves to give in easily. Though IMO too many in power still don’t understand just how duplicitous the US military-intel apparatus can be.
Unfortunately such history is rhyming right now not just with NeoNazis in Ukraine but in the Zionist fascists all over West Asia. Ideology matters. Morality matters. What’s happening now and again isn’t new, it’s a continuation of what was not defeated. I despise fascism. I am inherently on this planet to fight it in one form or another. And that’s why I will always fight it in empire, Zionism or whatever arrogant form it takes and many here agree with me. Zionism is fascism and peace & humanity do not go together with it and never will.
As a journalist what I don’t do is only hang out with westerners. Which is annoyingly common and a disservice IMO. I speak to the people, regular every day Russians on the ground and not just the political class to show off who I know or don’t; but across the spectrum. Russia is a great country and may be a capitalist nation now but it is what it is from all of its history—especially the creation of the USSR and what that did for people. I’ve heard so many fond stories of the good days of the union that I’d never hear in the States. No matter the lies we’re told in the US about the Soviet Union, the reality is as Zhukov said: Europe will never forgive the Soviet Union for liberating them from Nazism. The fight continues sadly with similar theaters and different players.
It’s not my job to tell Russia what it needs to do but as an American I will say, not trusting in a word the latest face of our apparatus says is a good start. A snippet from the show.

The head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry said that Zelensky "must come to terms with the idea that all Hungarians really have the right to express their opinion on the issue of Ukraine's accelerated accession to the EU."
"After all, the fact remains: Ukraine wants to join the union of which we are members, and not vice versa... Therefore, Kiev must choose the appropriate tone,"the minister wrote.
