UPDATE: Hudson River Helicopter Crash
• helicopter crashed into the Hudson River near Lower Manhattan in New York City. The incident occurred in the afternoon, with the New York Police Department reporting it around 3:17 PM PDT.
• Reportedly, the helicopter was carrying six people: a pilot, two adults, and three children, who were reportedly a family of tourists from Spain. 🙏
At least three people were killed in the crash, though the exact conditions of all passengers remain unclear as rescue efforts continue.
• One observer, Dani Horbiack, saw the helicopter "fall out of the sky" from her apartment window, hearing loud noises like gunshots as pieces broke off before it plunged into the river.
• Another witness, Eric Campoverde, reported seeing the helicopter descend at a 45-degree angle, causing a significant splash upon impact.
Emergency response was swift, with first responders, including the New York Fire Department (FDNY), NYPD, and rescue boats, rushing to the scene near a maintenance pier by the Holland Tunnel ventilation tower, closer to the New Jersey side of the river.

Brand hit out at the serious allegations against him, saying the government is turning the law into 'a weapon', vehemently denying that he has ever engaged in non-consensual sex.
In a video posted to X on Friday afternoon, Brand thanked fans for their support and said: 'I was a fool before I lived in the light of the lord. I was a drug addict, a sex addict and an imbecile. But what I never was, was a rapist. I have never engaged in non-consensual activity - I pray that you can see that by looking in my eyes.'
He says that the law was being used as a weapon against people who would not tolerate corruption. He adds that his show on Rumble will return Monday and he's incredibly grateful that he'll now get to defend these charges in court.
