🏢 🏛 We were honoured to welcome Prof. Assumpció Huertas from Universitat Rovira i Virgili (Spain) to our International Double Degree Faculty at Tashkent State University of Economics in collaboration with IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems!

Prof. Huertas, a distinguished Professor of the Department of Communication Studies, Member of the Asterisc research group, and Researcher in the ADAPTOUR (Tourism) project, delivered an insightful and engaging guest lecture on “Destination Brands and Their Communication through Social Media.”

This session, conducted within the framework of the Bachelor in Tourism and Leisure Management programme, became an inspiring academic exchange, exploring the powerful role of digital media in destination management and brand storytelling in tourism.

Our students were thrilled to gain firsthand knowledge from such an experienced academic, and the energy in the room reflected their curiosity, professionalism, and global mindset.

We sincerely thank Prof. Huertas for her visit, her expertise, and the warm and inspiring academic connection she brought to our faculty.

🗣General English Speaking Masterclass: Confidence. Clarity. Success.

Today, IMC Krems, in partnership with IDP IELTS, hosted an impactful General English Speaking Masterclass at *Madaniyat Saroyi*, where ambitious students took a deep dive into the skills and strategies needed to succeed in one of the exam’s most dynamic sections.

🎙 The session focused on mastering fluency, coherence, vocabulary range, and pronunciation – the key criteria assessed in the Speaking test. Participants received practical frameworks for building well-structured responses, managing exam stress, and interacting confidently with examiners. Real-life examples and expert advice from IDP IELTS professionals made this a truly empowering experience.

💬 The atmosphere was vibrant and intellectually engaging. Students took part in mock interviews, received individual feedback, and worked on refining their tone, grammar, and spontaneity – all in a supportive and motivating academic setting.

👋🏻 “Hi, I’m Mohinur, currently studying Tourism and Leisure Management at IMC Krems as part of my Erasmus exchange programme. I’m originally from Tashkent, the capital city of Uzbekistan, and I’ve always been fascinated by exploring different cultures and learning about the world, which inspired me to pursue a career in tourism.

🌍 My general opinion about the university is very positive. Educational process is based on an interactive and practical approach, communication between professors and students is open and sincere. Student life in Krems is very rich and colorful; every day I have the opportunity to learn about different cultures and worldviews, which always enriches me with new thoughts and ideas. In addition, meeting new people and forming connections has made my experience here even more rewarding.
