Yes, I have felt this way quite often, especially when I realised that we have so many automatons.It got quite bad when I stopped trying to wake up the others or expecting them to want freedom.
Then the last year has been amazing.I had a healing which I can only explain was Christs love.I was a lukewarm Christian but now I am in amazement every day.Did not expect this.
So follow your spiritual path and see where it goes.

You are not alone Alex. I’m developing a healthy homesickness for heaven too😂how can we not when we look to Jesus and the beauty and glory of things eternal and promised when the world sinks into ever increasing sin and depravity?
My day today…awoken by dear 89 year old lady just home after breaking both wrists and being rehabilitated for the best part of 3 months, whom we are powers of attorney for health and finances “dear I’m a bit low only £20 left can you go to my bank and withdraw £100 please?” Me…”sure no problem, need any shopping I can bring with me when I visit?” Park try to pay but machine broken, took photo with phone thinking will probably get a ticket anyway nowadays. Pop along to the bank where I’m told I need to apply online for a new code to reactivate the power of attorney as it’s not been registered online and I won’t be able to get dear lady’s cash out for 10 days to two weeks whilst this occurs😢oh dear…so I suggest popping in for her card to withdraw manually so she doesn’t stress about not having cash to pay the ‘hairdresser and foot lady’…bank manger frowns “I advise against that madam in case of accusation of fraud.” So I go to my bank and withdraw some cash for her. Me thinking…am stuck between a rock and a hard place…leave bank buy a few bits for Anna get back to an ominous black and yellow penalty notice in the windscreen of my car 😡😡😡head to Anna’s frustrated and a tear in my little eye praying for heavenly patience peace and clam to soothe my now unsettled soul so I can be a blessing and not a burden to Anna.
Prayers answered! Thank you Lord.🙏🏼 Spent a heavenly hour with Anna sharing our news, reading God’s Word and praying. Best part of both our days…
All downhill again once home and attempting to appeal the penalty notice! Tried online filled in form on website several times but whether I used computer iPad or phone it froze at the last minute when you click the submit button with attached photos of said broken malfunctioning machine! So I switch to calling a human being who may be able to help…WRONG…recorded voice with 15 options to press, none of which covered the reason I was calling so I hung on the line listening to rather nice piano music for 40 minutes when I gave up and reverted to email. What a waste of precious time! What an inhumane experience! How soul destroying frustrating and annoying. Just trying to do what you need to do and are being asked to do but being blocked at every stage…nearly banged my head against a wall….then visualised banging whoever the robotic recorded persons voice was instead and felt much better!😂🤣
Alex I’m fatigued with you today but know that morning by morning new mercies we see and that God will lift my spirits refresh my soul and breath his breath of God life into my weary bones once more to help keep me going when times get tough.

Maybe not😂🤣hubby just told me he’s considering a wild wee in the sea as the council have decided to charge a £1 to use the public toilets on our seafront…”honey I’m gonna end up in jail if this carries on…£2,500 per annum in council tax…and they can’t even fill the pot holes then have the audacity to charge us £1 for a basic human need/function…I’m gonna take my council tax bill down to those toilets, I’m gonna jump over the barrier, squirt stuff over the CTV camera ITS NOT ON!” 😂🤣What a life!

I know just what you mean. I consciously fight it. I find as many things that i can be grateful for. The overload of crap going on, can be overwhelming, I think that’s why it’s happening that way, by design, to try to wear us down! Try hard to find even the smallest things to express gratitude for - keep a journal perhaps. Writing it down can be powerful. I maintain that our biggest challenges are to stay sane, stay thankful and stay strong. I re-found my faith two years ago, after decades of indiffèrence and I find that gives me strength. That and working in my garden, sowing seeds, watching life burst forth. I can recommend it!😀 You are not alone, you are in our prayers. Ooh la la I’m old enough to be your mum! Big hug to you.

I can relate. That birds illustrations drives it home for me. It's hard to see fun anymore or some way out of feeling moped. And it has to with a certain things done on macro but also on a micro level. For example, for one, I find a certain aspects of life repetitive, hence boring, things that I did countless times before, things that I'll do countless more times. Like shaving, arranging my bedroom, but then there are also strolls. To go to places I've already been in my city, places that I already know. But then again, I don't find inspiration to suddenly visit areas I rarely visit or never. Framing it like that, it sounds as if I only see boredom and despair but it's what it is.
Then there are things like people. Global news, local news, inflated prices, immigration etc things that I used to enjoy but for some reason I don't anymore. This Telegram included, often it's source of entertainment and connection with some people, but also often is source of idiocy, mental derangment, pessimism and all things that make it so Telegramy. Although truth to be told, it's not Telegram's problem; it's me for being hooked on it. So yeah, what should I be doing and I don't know. I have no mouth and I have to scream.
By the way, it's nice that someone opened a topic to get stuff off your chest. I personally wouldn't initiate it, but thanks Alex.
