Hama–Masyaf Countryside | Two Fathers Killed While Transporting Dairy Products

Ibrahim Muhammad al-Akkari and Ali Shaaban al-Akkari, both fathers of two and residents of the village of Al-Maw'ah, were killed by unknown assailants.

The victims were transporting cheese and dairy products on their motorcycles when they were ambushed and fatally shot with live ammunition on the road leading to Arab Abu Talisa village in the western Hama countryside.
Umayyad Mosque, Damascus | Women in Niqabs March in Latest HTS Propaganda Video

A group of women wearing niqabs marched through the Umayyad Mosque in Damascus, calling on other women to adopt the full-face covering.

The video with added "militarized music" was released by pro-Jolani and HTS-affiliated channels and has since circulated widely across their Telegram channels and linked social media platforms.

This post is not aimed at criticizing or targeting women who choose to wear the niqab. Everyone has the right to dress according to their beliefs. Rather, it raises a question about the sudden appearance of organized religious marches of this nature—something not seen before in Umayyad Mosque, such a significant site.

What do you think of the new "Free Syria"?

Key points from the interview:

Al-Sharaa is willing to improve diplomatic relations with Israel.

He pledged efforts to halt weapons transfers through Syria that could be used to target Israel.

He voiced interest in establishing ties with all of Syria’s neighboring countries.

Al-Sharaa raised concerns over Iran’s destabilizing activities inside Syria.

Latakia | Russian and UN Forces Launch Joint Patrols to Monitor Security

Starting today, Russian forces, in coordination with UN peacekeeping units, will begin daily joint patrols across several villages in Latakia Governorate, including the city of Jableh.

Patrols will run from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., aiming to monitor the security situation and civilian movement, while reinforcing a sense of safety and stability along the Syrian coast.

These efforts are part of a broader international cooperation initiative to assess conditions on the ground and support long-term stability in the region.
Al-Muhajireen Mosque, Aleppo | Sectarian Outburst Towards Christians in Christian-Led Iftar

During a peaceful iftar organized by 28 Christian volunteers from the Christian Education Youth Group (affiliated with the Latin Church in Aleppo), aimed at feeding 250 fasting Muslims at Al-Muhajireen Mosque – Al-Shaar, the spirit of unity was shattered by a sectarianism.

As Father Bahjat delivered a brief welcoming speech, one of the guests interrupted him, hurling hate speech and declaring:

"Christians are infidels... they are not our brothers, and never will be."

Despite efforts by the mosque’s sheikh to calm the situation, the verbal assault continued, targeting the Christian volunteers—while officials remained silent.

It is a troubling reflection of unchecked sectarian rhetoric that threatens the very fabric of national unity.
Al-Rayan, Homs | Residents Flee After General Security-Affiliated Group Assaults Civilians

Widespread clashes erupted this evening in the village of Al-Rayan in eastern Homs countryside after a raid by the "Al-Zubair group," reportedly affiliated with the HTS-led General Security forces.

Residents were caught off guard as the group entered the area and began violently beating civilians. Multiple injuries were reported, and witnesses say anyone attempting to leave their home was assaulted.

The group also reportedly stole several motorcycles during the raid, further fueling panic among locals.

The assault triggered a wave of displacement, with dozens of families fleeing toward the nearby town of Sukrah amid growing fears of continued violence.

Several villages in the northern Latakia countryside—including Sagharo, Jouret al-Ma, al-Kindisiyya, and Qasr Jour have fallen under the control of Bedouin groups who have forcibly displaced residents, looted homes. The video shows the widespread destruction and vandalism caused by Bedouin groups, which is displacing the civilian population.

Hmeimim, Latakia | Abduction of 17-Year-Old Girl

On April 14, 2025, at approximately 3:00 PM, an abduction of 17-year-old Reem Hassan occurred out of Hmeimim Airport in Latakia. She was threatened by a man who claimed he would kill her younger brother if she did not leave with him discreetly. Fearing for her brother’s life, she complied.

She was taken into a car, blindfolded, and driven toward Benjaro, where the kidnappers spoke in an unfamiliar dialect. Her phone was used by the abductors to send misleading messages to her family, assuring them she was fine.

Following these suspicious messages, her father and local sheikhs coordinated with public security, eventually locating and safely recovering her in Benjaro. Reem confirmed she was not physically harmed, but was threatened not to disclose the kidnapping, with warnings of further retaliation.
Jisr al-Shughur | Crosses Removed in Targeted Attack on Christian Cemeteries

In a deeply offensive and alarming incident, unknown individuals removed crosses from Christian graves in Jisr al-Shughur, sparking outrage among the local Christian community. This is another deliberate and targeted attack on their religious identity of Christians and the sanctity of their deceased.
Syrian Goes On Sectarian Rant Inciting Against Druze

A Syrian man named Anas Habra delivers a sectarian and explicit speech targeting the Druze community. The individual uses inflammatory language, promotes hate speech, and makes multiple direct threats of violence, including calls for murder and expulsion of an entire religious minority group.

"You tell me not to incite—I will incite... You are infidels, like all the other minorities... Why do we support [Sunni scholars], and you don’t support Al-Hijri? You left because you were hungry, and now you call this a revolution.

If you're Druze and you talk to me, F*©K Your Sisters [Repeated Numerous Times]... I will wipe you from Syria—get out of Syria, get out."
Aleppo | Bigoted Treatment, Abuse and Arbitrary Violence by HTS Security Forces

Two young men from Aleppo recounted their experience of witnessing men being harassed and physically assaulted by armed gangs affiliated with the HTS-led “General Security” in the Mogambo district.

They describe being in front of the military hospital when armed men in civilian clothing begin hurling abuse, saying “Al-Halabiyah in Arsat" (calling them whores). The militants beat the men, confiscated a phone, and vandalized a car.

Although the situation was later addressed by a local HTS security commander, who issued an apology, the victims emphasized that dozens of bystanders witnessed the abuse and that this was not an isolated incident. They warn of a growing climate of impunity in Aleppo, where HTS-linked groups intimidate, rob, and assault civilians at will.

The two men urged others not to stay silent in the face of such abuse, comparing the atmosphere to the regime’s darkest days.

Harf Bin Namra, Baniyas | Six Killed in Eid Massacre by Masked Gunmen

The village witnessed a horrific massacre on the first day of Eid, leaving six people dead after an armed attack carried out by masked gunmen.

According to local sources, the assailants emerged from the nearby Al-Disna checkpoint—just 100 meters from the village—and approached the first home they encountered. The unsuspected homeowner welcomed them with traditional Eid hospitality. Upon asking about the village mukhtar (headman), he then arrived shortly after and the gunmen opened fire, killing:

Jawdat Faris (the Mukhtar)
Sumer Shaheen (homeowner)
Ibrahim Shaheen (Sumer’s son)
Thaer Shaheen (Sumer’s brother)
Ibrahim Shaheen (Sumer’s father)

The attackers fled back toward the Al-Disna "General Security" checkpoint.

Security forces later arrived and sealed off the village in search of the perpetrators. However, suspicions remain high, with villagers pointing to the proximity and possible complicity of nearby security elements.
Syria | From the Assad's to the Al-Sharaa Takeover: A New Family Dynasty Emerges

In a new authoritarian legacy under a new name, Syria has shifted from the rule of the Assad family to a growing Al-Sharaa family grip under HTS-led governance.

Key positions within the country’s de facto power structure are now held by members of the Al-Sharaa family and their close affiliates, signaling a consolidation of power reminiscent of the previous regime:

Ahmed Al-Sharaa – Irremovable "President of the Republic"

Maher Al-Sharaa – Secretariat of the Presidency

Hazem Al-Sharaa – Head of the Investment Commission

Owais Al-Sharaa – Secretary of the Republican Palace

Ahmed Al-Droubi – Brother-in-law of Al-Sharaa, Secretary of the Central Bank

Maher Marwan (Adil Al-Sharaa) – Governor of Damascus

Syria may be free from Assad, but a new ruling dynasty appears to have taken its place—one that continues the tradition of concentrated, familial control over state institutions.

I’ll be collaborating with a page dedicated to documenting the massacres—particularly those targeting the Alawite community—with English subtitles. This has been one of the most requested efforts, with hundreds reaching out asking for it.

The videos will be shared through a dedicated YouTube channel currently in the works.

Please note: this channel is completely unaffiliated with any religious or community leaders. It’s a grassroots initiative, built by and for the people.

The power belongs with the people—and so will the truth.
