Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has confirmed he will travel to Moscow for the May 9 Victory Day celebrations, despite warnings from the European Union that such a move could jeopardize Serbia’s EU accession hopes, according to the Associated Press.
“In the coming period, we will be under pressure over our participation in the Moscow event, which we have already announced,” Vučić told reporters. He also noted that Serbia will take part in the “joint” organization of the military parade.
According to media reports, Vučić’s visit could seriously impact Serbia’s chances of joining the EU.
