Anyone with eyes to see and ears to hear can observe the powerful influence that old serpent currently has on individuals and our world.
Contrary to such nonsense, the Bible states that "evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived" (2 Tim. 3:13). Things will grow worse in the world as the final end times approach.
A worsening world heading towards the way things were in the "Days of Noah", is not compatible with the amillennialist view that Jesus is presently ruling and reigning on the earth.

Early Christianity was almost universally premillennial. The Didache, one of the earliest Christian instruction manuals assumes all believers were premillennial.
Why? Because it’s the plain reading of scripture.
Up until the 4th century you will scarcely find non-premillennial ideas.
So the first 300 years of Christianity was universally premillennial including the disciples of John the Apostle who wrote the book of Revelation.
What changed? Augustine (the Manichaeian gnostic) popularized amillennialism so that in the council of Ephesus in 431 ad, the Catholic cult officially banned premillennialism from being taught and killed anyone who taught it. They reaffirmed this rejection of biblical eschatology in 1944.
