My nephew had a stroke and died at only 14. My brother had gotten him four COVID shots even though I kept telling him not to. I warned him many times that if something went wrong, no one would be held responsible, but he just kept saying, “We have to get it.”
Now, after first denying it, he finally admits the vaccine probably caused the stroke. But instead of accepting his choice, he’s saying he was forced to get vaccinated, even though there was never any real pressure—not from family, not even from his job at our family business. He did it completely on his own. Now he wants to sue someone, and when I remind him there’s no liability, he just says, “That can’t be true.”
Can someone help me understand why people think this way? It’s like he believed saying “no” or questioning it wasn’t even an option he never considered anything except when he’d get the next shot.
