AS A SINGLE MOM WORKING IN A RESTAURANT, I LOST SIGHT OF MY SON—WHAT HE SAID TO A FIREMAN MADE US ALL CRY
When you work in a small restaurant, sometimes you have to be creative with childcare. My babysitter canceled at the last minute, so I took my four-year-old son, Micah, to work with me. It was Halloween, and he was thrilled to wear his little fireman costume—red helmet, coat, and all. I sat him in a booth in the back with some crayons and a grilled cheese sandwich, and reminded him to stay there while I dealt with the rush.
At some point, between refilling coffee and taking orders, I looked over and—he was gone.
I quickly panicked. I called his name, rushed to the back room, then looked under the tables. Nothing. My heart raced as I ran toward the kitchen—maybe he had wandered in there.
And then I saw him.

Hi my beloved Rainbow Warrior family
🔥This is my emergency oven if the heating fails, like it did today.
🔥The large XXL tea lights will now burn for about 8 hours. As I said, this is only an emergency solution for this case, now.
🔥I hope that I will be able to get heating for the apartment again within this time. Otherwise there will be a problem. But we will see. It is already getting warmer here. It is probably the sight of these flames that can give me warmth😅
