NEW from your FBI: I can now confirm reports that our FBI teams and partners foiled an attempted ISIS attack on one of our U.S. military bases in Warren, Michigan.

The individual, Ammar Abdulmajid-Mohamed Said, plotted a mass shooting at the U.S. Army’s Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command (TACOM) facility before multiple undercover law enforcement officers obtained information of his plans.

Said was arrested this week and will now face charges of supporting a foreign terrorist organization, among others.

Our agents, intelligence teams, and partners acted quickly — and they saved lives.

UPDATE: A suspect has died following a shootout with officers on a Nashville bridge Monday morning, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department, Tennessee.

The 29-year-old suspect was accused of shooting a Nashville Rescue Mission staff member multiple times Sunday afternoon.

One officer was grazed on the leg during the shootout. MNPD said the suspect was taken to a local hospital with critical injuries and later died. The officer was later identified as Clayton Lewis, a 9-year veteran of MNPD.
