PRAYER BEFORE A CRUCIFIX

Look down upon me, good and gentle Jesus, while before Thy face I humbly kneel, and, with burning soul, pray and beseech Thee to fix deep in my heart lively sentiments of faith, hope, and charity, true contrition for my sins, and a firm purpose of amendment; while I contemplate with great love and tender pity Thy five wounds, pondering over them within me, calling to mind the words which David, Thy prophet said of Thee, my Jesus: "They have pierced my hands and my feet; they have numbered all my bones."

~ Psallite - English Catholic Hymns (1901)
ST. THOMAS AQUINAS: THE VIRTUOUS MAN SOMETIMES UPSETS THOSE AROUND HIM

“For the sake of some good that will result, or in order to avoid some evil, the virtuous man will sometimes not shrink from bringing sorrow to those among whom he lives.

Hence the Apostle says: ‘Although I made you sorrowful by my epistle, I do not repent’ (2 Cor. 7:8), and further on, ‘I am glad; not because you were made sorrowful, but because you were made sorrowful unto repentance’ (2 Cor. 7:9). For this reason we should not show a cheerful face to those who are given to sin, in order that we may please them, lest we seem to consent to their sin, and in a way encourage them to sin further.”

The pre-eminence of love

Why, my brethren, are we so little concerned with finding opportunities to advance each other’s salvation, responding to greater need with greater help and bearing each other’s burdens? This is what St Paul advised: Bear one another’s burdens and so fulfil the law of Christ – or, again, forbearing each other in love. For that is most definitely the law of Christ.
When I notice something wrong in my brother that cannot be corrected – either because it is inevitable or because it comes from some weakness of his in body or character – why do I not bear it patiently and offer my willing sympathy? As scripture says, their children will be carried on their shoulders and comforted on their laps. Could it be because there is a lack in me, a lack of that which bears all things and is patient enough to take up the burden, a lack of the will to love?
This is what the law of Christ is like, of Christ who bore our griefs in his passion and carried our sorrows in his compassion for us, loving those whom he carried and carrying those whom he loved. On the other hand, whoever turns on his brother in the brother’s time of need, who exploits his weakness, whatever that weakness may be – without doubt he has subjected himself to the law of Satan and is carrying it out. Let us have compassion for each other and love the brotherhood we share, bear each other’s weaknesses and fight against each other’s vices.
Whatever religious practice or observance it leads to, any teaching or discipline that fosters a stronger love of God and, through God, of our neighbours, is most acceptable to God for that reason. This love is the reason why things should be or not be, why they should remain the same or be changed. This love should be the reason why things are and the end to which all things are directed. For nothing can be considered wrong that is truly directed towards and according to that love.
Without such love we cannot be pleasing to God, and without it we cannot achieve anything at all. May God choose to grant it to us, he who lives and reigns through the undying ages. Amen!

A very scandalous publication was released by the Superior General of the SSPX reflecting upon Bp. Williamson’s passing, amounting to a hit piece on a recently departed good Catholic.

The clear lack of charity amongst the leadership of the neo-SSPX (compared to the charity thankfully exhibited by many of its priests) is stark and disturbing.

By Bishop Richard Williamson on June 22, 2024:

"In fact, the last two millennia since the Crucifixion have shown how the Jews have even fallen away from the true Old Testament, because they preserve in their post-Christian synagogues the original text, no doubt as evidence of their prestigious origins and glorious vocation, but the essential meaning and content of that text they refuse, because every page of the Old Testament, if one knows how to read it, points to Jesus Christ. Of course. So within a few hundred years the Jews had concocted their own substitute for the Old Testament, namely the Talmud, which mentions Our Lord only to blaspheme against Him. So the Talmud, and not the Old Testament, is the holy text of the Jews of today’s synagogues."

On forgiveness
St. John Chrysostom
🔗From his Homilies on Philemon

What excuse, tell me, shall we have in things that appear difficult, when we do not do even a light thing, attended too with so much gain and so much benefit, and no trouble? Can you not despise wealth? Can you not spend your substance on the needy? Can you not will anything that is good? Can you not forgive him that has injured you? For if you had not so many things to answer for, and God had only commanded you to forgive, ought you not to do it? But now having so many things to answer for, do you not forgive? And that too, knowing that you are required to do it on account of things which you have from Him? If indeed we go to our debtor, he knowing it, receives us courteously, and shows us honor, and pays us every attention in a liberal way; and that though he is not paying off his debt, but because he wishes to render us merciful in our demand of payment: and thou, who owest so much to God, and art commanded to forgive that you may receive in return, dost not thou forgive? And wherefore not, I beseech you? Woe is me! How much of goodness do we receive, and what wickedness do we show in return! What sleepiness! What indolence! How easy a thing is virtue, attended too with much advantage; and how laborious a thing is vice! But we, flying from that which is so light, pursue that which is heavier than lead.

Here there is no need of bodily strength, nor of wealth, nor possessions, nor of power, nor of friendship, nor of any other thing; but it is sufficient only to will, and all is accomplished. Hath some one grieved you, and insulted you, and mocked you? But consider, how often you have done such things to others, and even to the Lord Himself; and forbear, and forgive him it.

Luke 11:4 and forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us.

"My fraternal friendship with Msgr. Williamson is relatively recent. It began when I found myself clashing with the Roman Authorities, after having matured the awareness of the conciliar revolution and its devastating effects, an awareness which His Excellency had reached well before me. From our meetings I retain the memory of his ability to reconcile unconditional adherence to the Catholic Truth with a breath of true Charity and a tireless strength in preaching the Word opportune importune.

I remember his humble and affable manner. As a true British gentleman, he had a keen sense of humor. His vast culture did not prevent him from behaving in a simple and modest manner, even in the poverty of his clothing. I remember well the worn cassock he habitually wore and his reluctance to artificial pleasantries.

Converted from Anglicanism and educated in the traditional Faith at the school of a great Archbishop, Monsignor Marcel Lefebvre, he was able to remain faithful to him even in the face of the concessions of his brothers, when human convenience and diplomatic calculations prevailed over the legacy of the French Archbishop. Monsignor Williamson was disobedient to an apostate Rome; disobedient to a weakened conservatism that had forgotten the true reasons for its existence; disobedient to a world incapable of hearing the truth spoken to its face. This apparent disobedience of his – which binds him inextricably to the figure of Monsignor Lefebvre, the “rebel bishop” who dared to challenge the modernism of Paul VI and John Paul II – was the reason why in 2012 he was abandoned and expelled from the Society of Saint Pius X to which he belonged, due to his unavailability to reach an agreement with conciliar Rome and the pseudo-conservatism of Benedict XVI.

From then on, Msgr. Williamson committed himself to building a “Catholic resistance” that could effectively counteract, on the one hand, the apostasy of the Roman authorities, and on the other, the compromises and concessions of the Society of Saint Pius X, whose Superiors were increasingly occupied with the search for canonical normalization. Msgr. Williamson was a free man, especially in not conforming to political correctness, and he was never concerned with the image that the press gave of him. In his lucid geopolitical vision, he anticipated many ideas that are now supported by facts, starting with the role of Zionism in the attack on Christian society. He lived through trials and humiliations without fuss, maintaining serenity of mind and in everything seeking only the glory of God and his own assimilation to Christ the Priest."

If these guys were promoting sodomy they'd be given every government sponsored platform, but because they're not self-hating white men they're censored and deplatformed. Free speech doesn't exist, democracy doesn't exist, we live in an oligarchical technocracy run by suicidal nihilists who want you permanently urban, effeminate and weak. Pray that these nationalists would stop thinking their ideology is a religion more worthy than Christ, so they can fulfil a holy purpose instead of being stuck in first gear, believing a Roman salute is more important than the Cross.
