MELODY OF A METROPOLIS
A girl that lives in a small village has a good talent as a photographer. She decides to go to Berlin to check her possibilities to improve professionally. There she will have good and bad times.
This movie is interesting because you will see how was the life in day-to-day in the Nazi Germany capital. Here you will see buildings, roads, transportation; but also the normal routine in job or the offers of entertainment and leisure in that Third Reich Berlin.
Also you can see this Berlin in the best moment, being the last movie of it, as a few weeks later, Sir Arthur "Butcher" Harris would order a lot of massive air raids to that city that would made dissappear that city as you will be able to see it.
In the movie you can see a brief Goebbels' speech.
Movie was qualified by Filmprufstelle as Valuable Artistically.
Allied Military Occupation prohibited this movie at the end of WW2, but in 1980 was broadcast with deleted scenes due to censorship.
The movie was found by Devenir Europeo and shared to this channel. High quality image -but the deleted scenes, that are added with lower quality- and English subtitles.
Some censored clips are surprising for us, as many we don't find any reason, as a couple where local police discusses administrative issues.

In all 3 movies a girl starts living in field or in a small village with a comfortable life, but due to circumstances or her wishes goes to a big city, and her life doesn't go as good as before.
These 3 movies are:
-The golden city, qualified as Particularly Valuable Artistically.
-The post master: qualified as Particularly Valuable Artistically, also won Mussolini Cup as best foreign movie in Festival of Venice.
-Melody of a metropolis: qualified as Valuable Artistically.
All 3 movies had good budgets and good qualifications, but none of them received the Valuable Politically, that it is also to pay attention in too.
