By their actions people often contradict themselves! They protect their eyes from specs or sores, but their mind, that is the eye of their soul, they do not think to protect. Thus they litter their mind with all kinds of rubbish. The Lord commanded us to preserve the mind, because it is the leader of the man. If the mind goes astray from the true path, a persons entire life will become a delusion. It does not take much for the mind to go astray: all it takes is some kind of false idea.”

We need to be in contact with God constantly through prayers (at home and in Church), reading the Scriptures and Church Fathers, receive the Sacraments (Mysteries). God in our life should be in the first place. No matter what we do, we do it with Him and for Him.

St. Nicholas Finnish Orthodox Church in Stockholm, Sweden. Founded in 1958, it is a parish of the Metropolis of Sweden under the Ecumenical Patriarchate. The parish was founded for Finns who had fled there after their parishes had been destroyed by the Soviets in the Winter War. While founded for these immigrants, over time they integrated into Swedish society and the liturgy there gradually started using less Finnish and more Swedish.
