"Those who come to the monastery as widows, or those who have left their husbands, or who have changed their habit, cannot be received unless they leave, give away, or sell, to whomever they wish, all their possessions so that they have nothing under their own control that they can govern or possess as private property, following the word of the Lord: 'If you wish to be perfect, sell what you have' (Matthew 19:21)."

Regina Caeli, Orthodox Church of the Resurrection of Christ, Crimea.
The Angel cried to the Lady, full of grace: Rejoice, O pure Virgin! Again, I say: Rejoice, your Son is risen from His three days in the tomb!

With Himself He has raised all the dead. Rejoice, O ye people!
Shine, shine, O new Jerusalem!
The glory of the Lord has shone on you.

Exult now, and be glad, O Zion!
Be radiant, O pure Theotokos, in the Resurrection of your Son!
“What then is our reply [to the Arians]? We do not believe it right to make their prevailing custom the law and rule of sound doctrine. For if custom is to serve as a test of soundness, we too, no doubt, can promote our prevailing custom; and if they reject it, we are not bound to follow theirs. Let us, then, let inspired Scripture be our arbiter, and the vote of truth will surely be given to those whose dogmas are in accord with the divine words.”

“The Pelagians first meant that human nature was perfectly healthy and capable of obtaining the Kingdom of God through its unlimited free will, giving as their reason that nature finds sufficient help in the gift of creation. Being naturally endowed with reason and intellect, it can easily choose evil from good. And, since the will is equally free from both evil and good, if all men were wicked, it would not be because they lack the ability to do good, but the intention to do it. They, then, affirmed that the fullness of man's justice comes from his natural rectitude and ability. The faith of the Church rejected this.”

“Since, therefore, the whole of the Scriptures, the Prophets, and the Gospels, can be understood clearly, unequivocally, and harmoniously by all, even if not all believe them; and since they proclaim that one God, to the exclusion of all others, formed all things by his word, whether visible or invisible, heavenly or earthly, in the water or under the earth, as I have shown from the very words of Scripture; and since the very system of creation to which we belong testifies, by what it calls our attention, that one Being made it and governs it—those people will truly seem foolish who blind their eyes to so clear a demonstration, and will not contemplate the light of the announcement [made to them].”

"Those who want to eat unleavened bread, saying that Christ also ate it, must be circumcised, since Christ also did so."

"The Divine Liturgy is the way we know God and the way God makes himself known to us... Every Divine Liturgy is a Theophany. The Body of Christ appears. Every member of the Church is an icon of the Kingdom of God. After the Divine Liturgy, we must continue to iconize the Kingdom of God by keeping its commandments. The glory of Christ is that He bears His fruit in every member."
