“Relations between Iran & KSA will be beneficial for both countries, and the two nations can complement each other.”
Imam Khamenei stressed that “the expansion of relations between the 2 countries has enemies,” adding: “We must overcome these hostile motives, and we are ready in this regard.”
Referring to some of Iran’s advancements, he said: “The Islamic Republic is ready to assist Saudi Arabia in these areas [such as science].”

Imam Khamenei emphasised: “It is far better for brothers in the region to cooperate and help one another than to rely on outsiders.”
The Saudi Minister of Defense, expressed great satisfaction with the meeting and said: “I have come to Tehran with the mandate to expand relations with Iran and to cooperate in all fields. We hope the constructive talks held will lead to stronger ties between Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Republic of Iran than in the past.”
