A few years ago, I read an article about America, as seen through the eyes of others. It mentioned a young Swedish woman. It seemed that she had long dreamed of visiting the U.S. What she really wanted to do, she said, was to land in Los Angeles, rent a convertible and drive up the Pacific Coast Highway with “California Dreamin’” by the Mamas and Papas blaring on the car radio.

I hope she made it.

Fewer foreigners dream of coming to the U.S. today. Lately there’s been a sharp drop-off in the number of global travelers to the United States. The Financial Times places the blame squarely on “political and economic tension and fears of a hostile border under President Donald Trump.”

Europe, Asia and Latin America — the shunning of the United States is widespread. And these places aren’t even America’s biggest source of tourism money. That would be Canada.

Guess what? Canadians are staying away too. In droves. Airline bookings are down by more than 70% for the upcoming crucial summer travel season.

In fact, travel and tourism is a huge part of the services economy, supporting some 9.5 million American jobs. The U.S. Commerce Department’s International Trade Association (ITA), which provided the data, adds that the industry contributed $2.3 trillion to the U.S. economy in 2022. The ITA reports that travel and tourism is the largest single services export for the United States, accounting for 22% of the country’s services exports and 7% of all exports in 2023.

So when Trump insults — even threatens — friends around the globe because of his obsession with one part of the U.S. economy, it hurts other parts.

“Bukele is a serial human rights violator,” Saab said, pointing to the politician’s “horrifying” three-year anti-gang crackdown, which has seen at least 85,000 Salvadorians thrown in jail, largely without due process. Human rights activists say more than 360 prisoners have died.

Trump Wants to Abolish the 4th and 5th Amendments

Trump lied today, claiming that the Supreme Court was prohibiting him from "removing criminals from our country" who "came here illegally."

But most of the ones he has seized for deportation have been here LEGALLY, on student visas and in some cases Green Card permanent residences, and their only "crime" was to criticize Israel's actions in Gaza.

As to detaining them and deporting them without a trial, that is a protection afforded by the 4th and 5th Amendments of the Bill of Rights. He is trying to go around that by using an old "War Times" Act that was last used to lock up Japanese Americans in concentration camps here in the U.S. during WW II.

He's NOT rounding up many illegal undocumented migrants, because they are the ones working on our farms and in our factories.

Is this really what Americans want and voted for? To strip search teenage German girls and lock them away when they came on a valid tourist visa for a vacation in Hawaii?

Charlotte Pohl, 19, and Maria Lepere, 18, flew into Honolulu with plans to explore the island before continuing on to California and Costa Rica. However, US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers flagged the pair when they revealed they had no hotel bookings or fixed itinerary for their five-week stay.

According to reports, the two women were accused of intending to work illegally and were held in custody overnight. They were allegedly strip searched, subjected to full-body scans, dressed in green prison uniforms, and forced to sleep on mouldy mattresses in a deportation holding centre.

Germany's Foreign Office later issued a reminder to citizens that even with an ESTA travel authorisation, entry into the United States is not guaranteed. Immigration officers retain full discretion at the border.

Their ordeal is not isolated. Canadian actress Jasmine Mooney, 35, was detained for nearly two weeks by US immigration officials in March after attempting to enter the US from Mexico. She claimed the experience was akin to being 'kidnapped' and held in 'cold and crowded' cells, describing the conditions as 'unjust' in an interview with ABC10.

Similarly, Lucas Sielaff, 25, a German national travelling with his American fiancée, was detained for 16 days after allegedly violating terms of his tourist permit. Despite holding a valid visa, he was shackled and locked up in an overcrowded detention centre before being allowed to return to Germany.

So you can add antisemitic to the list of viewpoints that could have one classified as a terrorist, rounded up by ICE, stripped of the fundamental rights to due process and a day in court, and made to disappear into a detention center.

Fitchburg Family Flees To Texas Amid Alleged Persecution By Police And DCF For Not Vaccinating Infant

A family with five children from Fitchburg, Massachusetts, fled to Texas after what they claim was unwarranted harassment and intimidation by local police and the Department of Children and Families (DCF). The extreme response was reportedly sparked by the parents’ informed decision to decline to vaccinate their healthy nine-month-old baby.

The parents, who homeschool their children, stated to their pediatrician that they were opposed to their new baby receiving the shots based on their sincerely held religious beliefs. Despite citing religious exemptions which are law in Massachusetts, the father, Isael Rivera is being held in Worcester County Jail on a $200,000 bond or 20K cash bail, while the couple’s five children have reportedly been taken into custody by Child Protective Services (CPS). It is unclear whether the children are in foster care in Texas, or back in Massachusetts DCF custody.

The ordeal began when the family’s pediatrician, a mandatory reporter, threatened to report them to DCF after the parents declined vaccinations for their infant during a wellness check.

What followed was a dramatic escalation. Fitchburg police, at the direction of Leominster DCF allegedly surrounded their apartment, banging on doors and circling the property for up to 30 minutes. “Ruth Encarnacion hid in the closet with her five children,” said the good samaritan who assisted the family over their 3 week exile. According to her account of what the family told her, with police and DCF returning in greater numbers the next day, Rivera was also forced to hide, while his wife and children fled from Fitchburg.

Microsoft’s passkeys shift steers over 1B users towards biometrics

Microsoft is leaning into passwordless. Over the past few years the software firm has been including the ability to completely remove the password from your account, and supporting passkey sign-in instead of using a password. Microsoft says its new UX is “optimized” for a passwordless and passkey-first experience.

What this means is that users will be relying more on biometrics to sign in to their Microsoft accounts – whether this is face biometrics or fingerprints

They will still allow one to use a PIN, for now. But this is the direction Big Tech is going.

And they use FEAR to sell this. It is generally a fear over AI taking over, which "necessitates" these changes.

With war expanding in the Middle East, the price of oil is finally starting to increase again.

I am also seeing articles today promoting the false "Peak Oil" myth, that the world will soon run out of oil, something they have been saying since the 1980s.

Here is an article I published 2 years ago exposing this myth. This myth starts with the false believe in biological evolution and fossils that are supposedly "millions of years old" and that therefore it takes extraordinary amounts of time to create petroleum.

The truth is the Earth is constantly producing oil, and its price should be about on par with the price of water.

We Already Know What Causes Autism

There is no need for the government to spend money on this. I have been reporting what the cause of autism is for over a decade and a half, as have many others.

If we want to stop the rate of autism increasing so much, the solutions are simple.

First, stop injecting babies and children with vaccines, and abolish the CDC childhood immunization schedule.

Trump says U.S. holding nuclear talks with Iran in surprise announcement

Trump met with Netanyahu today at the White House, and announced that they were having "high level" talks with Iran on Saturday, supposedly "direct talks."

The excuse, as always, was allegedly to discuss Iran's nuclear program. For those of you new to the "Iran cannot have a nuclear bomb" false narrative, this is a fake narrative that has been going on for decades now.

First, Iran is part of BRICS, and they are already scheduled to meet with China and Russia for nuclear talks, as announced earlier today:

Secondly, Russia has warned the U.S. that if they bomb Iran's nuclear sites, there would be "catastrophic" consequences:

Iran has been saying that they were going to meet with Trump's officials in Qatar, so let's see what actually happens.

Where they meet and who attends will give us a better indication as to the nature of such talks. But my guess is that if it is not open to the public, the main topic will be the price and flow of oil, which right now sits at just $60 a barrel which is UNSUSTAINABLE for the Billionaires running the U.S., with posturing about what actions might happen if the bombs start flying, such as the Straight of Hormuz, which Iran controls and where 20% of the world's oil flows.

The true goal of a war with Iran would include getting the price of oil higher, which benefits the billionaires and oligarchs on both sides.

The "Press Conference" with Netanyahu and Trump at the White House was pure theatrics. They will never reveal their real plans to the public.

A Non-Hopium Edition of today's news in what was a truly historic day.

The only place I am seeing near panic over today’s news is in the financial news that Wall Street investors subscribe to. Almost everyone now is predicting a recession, with others throwing journalistic caution to the wind and explaining that we could be seeing something on par to what happened in 1929.

I doubt that most Americans truly understand what we are now living through.

And the Trump supporters are still positive. I saw articles today in the Conservative Christian Media saying things like “TRUMP IS BRINGING DOWN THE DEEP STATE BANKERS!”, and other such positive spins on Trump’s actions.

They don’t mind if they lose their jobs and cannot put food on their table anymore, as long as they “trust the plan”.

They can't see that Trump IS THE DEEP STATE, and they are following him like sheep being led to the slaughter.
