Racial violence on Lincoln Place in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, as Ultra-Orthodox Jew, Levi Kabakov, 30, has been arrested and charged with second-degree assault and aggravated menacing (released from jail without bail, with a court date of July 17th) after pushing Black senior citizen Troy McLeod, known in the community as a friendly dog walker, out of his wheelchair and using a heavy block of scrap wood and a nearby wooden bench to beat him with until a bystander began recording the confrontation. Kabakov, seen wearing traditional Ultra Orthodox garb and an October 7th pin, allegedly ran out of his home to shout at McLeod, who had been going on his daily routine walking his two elderly German shepherds (who were leashed on harnesses and muzzled) accusing him of harassment and tormenting his children with the presence of his dogs on the sidewalk, demanding he leave the street. McLeod tried to continue walking his dogs down the sidewalk, where Kabakov then jumped in to attack McLeod, refusing to relent until an onlooker began recording and shouting for police. (4-14-25)
