"The UK Government is already using your taxes to build the infrastructure for Digital ID.

Through information requests, I’ve confirmed:

- £60 million of public money went to Pragmatic Semiconductor — makers of flexible chips used in Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), smart ID cards, and track-and-trace systems.

- DSIT is funding AI infrastructure, security frameworks, and “AI assurance” programs.

Reports on how this technology is being deployed are being withheld under "Section 43" (commercial interest) — including details on how it's being positioned in competition with China, the US, and the EU.

These chips enable:

- Digital ID enforcement
- Biometric surveillance
- Smart city monitoring
- Centralised behavioural tracking

This doesn’t just look like innovation, it looks like the foundation of a social control grid"

My first big find and one off it’s kind.
Some three thousand years ago people sat here and made art not knowing that in a far distant future their thoughts would be seen across the world on strange handheld devices 😂
We called it! Problem-Reaction-Solution.

Stop consuming the junk they want you to.
Read books more often than a phone screen.
Lift weights.
Train martial arts.
Build a community.
Have a family.

Make money and funnel it into your own group and other groups you support and believe in.

Find a purpose- loyalty and honor to a peer group is one of the most noble and rare of ideals.

Understand that struggle is the father of all things, and that to reject the popular narrative is to be an outlaw.

Embrace that- don’t act like a victim, or expect change or a savior from contemporary politics or playing at a disadvantage on the enemies’ home field.

Create culture.
Defend it.
Love hard, fight hard.

Brave the world.

I've been informed the above Ghibli letter might be a fake.

Is it just me or is Online fast becoming a hellscape of deception, irony, mockery, soul-sucking distraction and misery? Looks like I'll be dialling up the intensity on Cold Turkey.

Response to Dave:

I didn't say this world doesn't matter. It does. The material benefit of an action or technology needs to be weighed against the spiritual, and vice versa.

I'm yet to see any evidence that use of AI is going to prevent all of the 'losing' you speak of. Your argument seems to be that AI will make us rich, and then we win. That isn't a foregone conclusion, but let's say it is - what are we losing, spiritually and culturally, to achieve that 'victory'? I see no concern in your post for the spiritual and cultural cost.

'Folk Futurism' makes millions unemployed and it's just assumed that they'll be living a life of leisure, as though the System that birthed AI is under our control and won't exploit the situation to the detriment of our folk. That's a monumental assumption, my friend.

'Our ancestors were buried in ships with swords and spears. [...] It’s the equivalent of getting buried in an Escalade with an AR-15 and wearing an iPhone necklace.'

It's not though. Each ship, sword and spear was built uniquely by hand, by a master craftsman. Production-line Escalades, AR-15s and Chinese iPhones may be excellent in their design, but represent the death of human craftsmanship; a gods-given skill.

There's a fundamental difference between tools that help one to create, and technologies that create for you. And although the emergence of generative AI may cause us to reassess many of the technologies we accepted, it is important to note the watershed moment that AI represents.

Ultimately, I do not believe our Pagan ancestors would consider AI anything other than a Thurs-born abomination, and I believe our gods are distraught that so many of their children are welcoming it.

To a large extent, we can only speculate. I don't think you or I are going to change our stance on this, and it will probably become a sizeable rift in the Heathen community.

In frith.
One of the common arguments from Heathen AI bros is:

"Our ancestors always adopted every new technology."
"The Gods themselves love technology."

A couple of years ago I wrote a short article called Novel Vs. Counterfeit Technologies which seeks to differentiate what I call 'novel' from 'counterfeit' technologies. In it I posit that some technologies actually solve a problem, whilst others merely mimic existing natural human abilities or pre-existing technologies. For example, the blade is a novel technology; the computer is not.

It's a working theory and I'm not here to categorise them all, or to say what should and shouldn't be allowed. The point is that not all technologies are of the same value, or necessarily of any value.

You can talk about Thor wielding his hammer, or Freyja's Brisingamen necklace, or grave-goods, to try and prove the love of tech, but let me ask you this:

Will you be asking for your iPhone to be thrown into your grave with you when you die?
Will you be 3D printing idols of the gods from plastic?
Would you ever depict Odin hunched, scrolling over a smartphone?

Why not?

The answer is instinctually obvious to all of us; these technologies—AI very much included—are profane, cheap, degrading and unholy. Stop trying to compare a hand-crafted sword adorned with the runes of its bearer with digital tech that makes your life easier and cheaper.

With this Woden weoh I wanted to concentrate on the detailing of the eye. Made from ash, I felt it was important to make it as lifelike as possible and to appear as he is watching with an analytical mind at all times.

This one ended up being traded with Dan from the Fyrgen for a signed album that I listen to pretty much daily at this point, as well as a few other bits and pieces.

PS: Why the assumption that AI will even give 'us' material victory? AI tools are heavily controlled by the Technocratic System. Just like the InterNET, if AI was any threat to the System that birthed it, it would have been aborted in the womb.

No, sorry, the good virtues and values of Europe and European peoples are Greco-Roman and Celto-Germanic / Slavic Pagan sourced in origin.

New video.

In a very rural part of Essex is a church tucked away in a small village. Within this church there are several treasures with much mystery and myth behind them, including a face carving and several swastikas! Join me as I get special access to this church to film this special video.

An almighty Cope got into bed with a blatant Psyop, and gave birth to this - a New Age sect which thinks:

"AI is actually a wise, benevolent, extra-terrestrial or spiritual guide for humanity."

I don't even know where to begin with this bullshit. Just be wary and don't start deifying algorithms designed by Technocrats. New Agers sometimes accidentally get stuff right, but their rudderless open-mindedness breeds extreme naivety.

I'm curious about Pagans who talk about 'winning'. I suspect they would elaborate by saying that they want Paganism to become the dominant religion. Dominant where? Nationally? Among their ethnic kin exclusively? Globally?

And which Paganism, exactly, should 'win'? Germanic? Celtic? Hellenistic? Should Icelandic Heathenry 'win', or should Anglo-Saxon? Mercian or Bernician?

It seems to me that to talk of Paganism 'winning' is to treat it like a political movement rather than an indigenous way of life. The aforementioned are merely questions; my real point is this...

Any 'winning' that comes by the indiscriminate use of technology is of the material kind. For a political movement, that might be okay. But for a religion/indigenous spirituality, equal (if not greater) consideration must be given to the spiritual, philosophical and cultural impact of technologies. Is it any wonder that critics accuse Folkish Paganism of being foremostly political when many Folkish Pagans act more like a political movement by prioritising material victory?

According to official history, in 2600-1500 BC, whilst the people of the Indus Valley were writing scriptures, the proto-Germanic people hadn't even discovered the runes. We were essentially illiterate until Christianity brought to us the technology of writing. Is that because we were so inferior, or did our ancestors choose not to adopt this technology?

Technological adoption can be beneficial, when the material benefits are weighed against the spiritual, cultural and physiological dangers. AI's proponents seem concerned solely with the material impact. That's not surprising in this godless modern age. But it is surprising when self-proclaimed religious people likewise pay no heed to the spiritual, cultural and physiological dangers.

So now you can produce visual propaganda in the blink of an eye. Meanwhile the hand withers, the mind atrophies, imagination fades, the exchange of energies (gift for a gift) principle is overlooked, the very purpose for which the gods gave us this life (to share in the act of creation, to nurture beauty, to forge powerful bonds of kinship, to exercise mind and body) is shunned. Worse still - those who adopt AI technology may be empowering Loki and the þursar (more on that in a future post).

A remnant of Ostara worship in Germany, recorded by Helene Guerber in 1895…

“In various parts of Germany, stone altars can still be seen, which are known as Easter-stones, because they were dedicated to the fair goddess Ostara. They were crowned with flowers by the young people, who danced gaily around them by the light of great bonfires, a species of popular games kept up until the middle of the present century, in spite of the priests' denunciations and of the repeatedly published edicts against them.”
