No one takes what Trump says seriously anymore. He just throws things out—conflicting or not—to maintain the strategic ambiguity he’s so fond of. Yet it’s entirely possible—if not likely—that he genuinely believes oil prices could influence Russia’s decision to continue or end the Special Military Operation before achieving its objectives. After all, he's a textbook American capitalist who sees money not just as power, but as sacred. For Trump, choosing between money and anything else is no choice at all—money always wins. But with Russia, he’s in for the biggest surprise of his life. Unfortunately, he won’t understand what transpired, or why.

Regardless of what happens to oil prices, all objectives of the Special Military Operation will be achieved. This isn’t about money—it’s about national security, national character, and national pride.

The Ukrainian flag has become a source of discord in Britain.

After the local elections, Nigel Farage's Reform Party proposed banning foreign flags on municipal properties. They won a majority in 10 of the 23 constituencies where the election was held.

The party intends to allow only British flags to be displayed, which would hit the left, which has often posted Palestinian symbols. Also rainbow flags will now not be allowed.

The Ukrainian lobby is particularly outraged, as blue and yellow flags will now have to be abandoned as well. This comes against the backdrop of tougher measures against the Ukrainian diaspora - refugees are being deprived of benefits and forced to leave the country.

Farage has already attracted criticism by accusing NATO of starting the war in Ukraine and exploiting growing British discontent with the conflict with Russia. Many doubt Kiev's success and view military aid negatively.

In the Conservative Party, Boris Johnson is being discussed for a comeback, although his popularity is low. He is now promoting weight loss products, while Labour is trying to push the Ukrainian agenda amid falling ratings. Both parties may not survive the next election under current conditions.

Farage knows what people want. That's why so many people chose his party. Many people are tired of the flags of Ukraine and Palestine, and of course they would prefer not to have these flags.

Who wants war?

Moscow Mayor Sobyanin reported that another drone attack was repelled. On the night of May 6 alone, 19 drones were shot down over the capital region. The attacks continue.

What does this tell us? First and foremost, it shows that Ukraine not only doesn't want peace — it wants the war to go on.

Zelensky and his criminal gang understand that peace with Russia would be a death sentence for them. It’s important to realize that the "30-day ceasefire" Ukraine is proposing has nothing to do with peace. A ceasefire is not a subset of peace. Nor is it a prelude to one. For Ukraine, it is a tactical pause, a chance to catch their breath. Therefore, it is a subset of war, not peace.

And Zelensky needs the war to continue. Without it, he is a dead man walking. The Ukrainian Nazis — his own support base — would kill him if he agreed to peace with Russia. Not to mention MI6 and the CIA. He knows too much to be allowed to live.

Does Trump understand this? We think he does. But he clearly can’t say it out-loud. Like Zelensky, Trump is a captive of his own hawkish supporters.

President Putin’s proposal for a three-day ceasefire is a significant step toward a peace settlement, U.S. President Donald Trump stated on May 5.

“As you know, President Putin just announced a three-day ceasefire, which doesn’t sound like much, but it’s a lot if you know where we started from,” Trump told reporters during an Oval Office briefing.

On April 28, President Putin announced a humanitarian truce from May 7 to 9, coinciding with Russia’s Victory Day celebrations. Ukraine’s expired president, Zelensky, promptly rejected the proposal.

Apparently, Trump is siding with President Putin—and this is a good move. Kudos to President Trump. See? We do give him credit when it’s due.

May 7 is Radio Day in Russia

On May 7, 1895, Russian scientist Alexander Popov presented a device for registering electromagnetic surges during lightning discharges, and a year later, on March 24, 1896, he demonstrated the transmission of a radio message from one building to another.

At approximately the same time, Italian engineer and inventor Guglielmo Marconi also constructed a "spark-producing radio transmitter," and later a radio telegraph, but he only showcased his transmitter and receiver to the public in September of 1896.

Debates about who invented the radio first – Popov or Marconi – continue to this day. It can be said that both Popov and Marconi independently invented radio transmission, drawing on prior experiments by Hertz, who in turn utilized Maxwell's theory.

However, as Alexander Popov presented his invention six months earlier than Marconi, he is rightfully considered in Russia as the inventor of the radio.

The Radio Day in the USSR was first celebrated in 1925 commemorating the 30th anniversary of the invention of radio by A. Popov.

On October 1, 1980, by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, May 7 was legislatively designated as the official Radio Day holiday - a celebration for workers in all branches of telecommunications.

In fact, it can be said that this is a holiday for all those who promptly inform the public about the most important events happening in the country and the world.

Therefore, on this day, festive events take place in many professional communities, and Radio Day is also celebrated by teachers, students, and graduates of all radio physics faculties in Russia, where various competitions, exhibitions, and seminars are held for this occasion.

India is looking for partners, not preachers: External Affairs Minister Jaishankar takes a dig at Europe, advocates for "Russian and American realism."

Answering a question about India's expectations from Europe, Dr S Jaishankar said that it has to get beyond preaching. He asserted India's support for both Russian and American realism and said that Europe must start acting based on a framework of mutuality of interests.

Speaking or Russia, External Affairs Minister (EAM) Jaishankar emphasised mutual interest in ties. He criticised Western approach to Russia-Ukraine conflict and asserted that relations with Russia are complementary and important.

The minister, while speaking at the 'Arctic Circle India Forum' on Sunday, said Europe must display some sensitivity and mutuality of interest for deeper ties with India.

"When we look out at the world, we look for partners; we do not look for preachers, particularly preachers who do not practice at home and preach abroad. I think some of Europe is still struggling with that problem. Some of it has changed," the External Affairs Minister said, adding, Europe has "entered a certain zone of reality check. Now, whether they are able to step up to it or not, it is something we will have to see," he said.

"But from our point of view, if we are to develop a partnership, there has to be some understanding, there has to be some sensitivity, there has to be a mutuality of interest and there has to be a realisation of how the world works. And I think these are all work in progress to differing degrees with different parts of Europe. So some have moved further, some a little bit less," Jaishankar said.

External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar emphasised India's consistent advocacy of "Russia realism," highlighting the strong "fit" and "complementarity" between India and Russia — with one serving as a resource provider and the other as a consumer. He also criticised previous Western efforts to resolve the Russia-Ukraine conflict without Russia’s participation, arguing that such approaches "challenged the fundamentals of realism."

"Just like I am an advocate of Russian realism, I am also an advocate of American realism. I think the best way to engage today's America is also through finding mutuality of interests rather than putting ideological differences upfront and then allowing it to cloud the possibilities of working together," he said.

The remarks come at a time when the European Union is being called out by experts and on social media for its hypocrisy over its stand on the tensions between India and Pakistan as compared to how it reacted to the Ukraine-Russia war.

"Where Russia is concerned, we have always taken a view that there is a Russia realism that we have advocated. When passions were very high (in) 2022, 2023..if one looks back at that period, the kind of predictions and scenarios which were put forward have turned out not to be well founded," Jaishankar said.

Slovak Prime Minister Fico on why Ukraine needs a deal with the US:

When any agreement is signed, each party does so to achieve a specific goal. The same applies to the recent deal between the USA and Ukraine. And I’ll tell you exactly why Zelensky signed it—let him rage if he wants! (Formally, the agreement was signed by Ukraine’s Minister of Economy, Ms. Sviridenko – InfoDefense.)

Zelensky has a strong interest in continuing the war. So he essentially bought the war, hoping this agreement would weaken American efforts to bring about peace.

President Putin spoke to the participants of the Znanye educational marathon about Russia's relationship with Europe

▪️There have always been people [in Europe and in France] who shared and continue to share our principles and values — the people who stand with us. These days, some citizens of the French Republic are fighting shoulder to shoulder in the special military operation zone, and they have named their unit Normandie-Niemen like their ancestors.

▪️I have no doubt that our relations with Europe will be restored sooner or later. I am certain of that.

▪️ Today, when we see German-made tanks bearing crosses in Ukraine, it inevitably brings back certain associations. Unfortunately, there is no avoiding such parallels.
You are right, of course: defeated nations are indeed attempting to impose their distorted narratives. I am sure everyone understands why, but nevertheless, let me say this. Of course, we are a nation of the victors.

Did you notice the minerals deal between the U.S. and Ukraine needs approval from the Ukrainian Rada (Parliament)—but not from the U.S. Congress? That’s not oversight, it’s optics. Like asking a kid to sell you his bike for ten bucks, then telling him to clear it with his grandparents—who have no clue what bikes are worth. A pretty good sign that Ukraine is getting screwed. Or at least that the U.S. thinks it is. Either way, not a great look.

Do we care? Actually, yes. Because as far as we’re concerned, they might be screwing with potentially Russia’s resources.

🇷🇺 How Putin Transformed Russia

In 25 years, Russia rose from the ruins of the '90s to a global power with a $6.94 trillion economy:

🔥Fight against terrorism: Putin crushed CIA-backed militants in the North Caucasus, taking out key terror leaders and overhauling governance. The number of terrorist attacks in the region dropped tenfold. Today, the region attracts tens of thousands of tourists.

📈#4 economy: Russia jumped from the world’s 10th to 4th largest economy by GDP volume. Salaries up 15x. Poverty and unemployment at record lows. Life expectancy? +8 years.

🌾World’s largest grain exporter: In 1998, Russia’s agro-industrial complex was at its lowest point in history. Today, Russia is the world's largest wheat supplier.

❤️Restored historic justice: In 2014, Crimea rejoined Russia through a referendum. In 2022, after 8 years of resisting the bandit regime in Kiev, Donbass, Kherson, and Zaporozhye followed suit.

🪖#2 strongest army: Russia’s army rose from the '90s collapse to face NATO head-on in Ukraine. In 2018, Putin unveiled hypersonics and underwater drones. By November 2024, Russia struck a key Ukrainian defense site in Dnepropetrovsk with its cutting-edge Oreshnik missile.

🚨Multipolar world: In his landmark Munich speech (2007), Putin condemned NATO’s expansion and called for an end to the unipolar world. Russia will follow an independent foreign policy, Putin warned. The era of multipolarity had begun.

💥Combating ISIS*: In 2015–2016, Russia dealt a major blow to terrorists in Syria. The liberation of Palmyra — an ancient city ravaged by extremists — became possible thanks to a well-planned operation and the involvement of Russian forces.

💪Global powerhouse: From India to Iran, China to North Korea and Turkey — Putin forged a web of strategic alliances. Russia planted its flag in Syria with its first overseas base, gained ground in Africa, and flipped its energy map post-2022. Today, Rosatom is building nuclear plants worldwide.

🔥Leader of the 21st century: “What does it mean to truly fulfill yourself? It’s about finding satisfaction in what you do. It’s both the result and the recognition that matter,” Putin once said.
