🇿🇲🇷🇺 The monument to the 80th anniversary of the Soviet victory over the Nazis unveiled in Zambia
A solemn ceremony took place on February 1 at the Russian House in Lusaka. The event was attended by Russian citizens residing in Zambia, Russian Embassy personnel, and young Zambians interested in studying in Russia.
The inauguration marks the beginning of celebrations to mark the 80th anniversary of Victory Day, Russian Ambassador Azim Yarakhmedov said.
The memorial was created at the initiative of the Russian House in Lusaka. It is supposed to become a place of attraction for Russian patriots and Zambian citizens who are interested in Russia.
This year will mark the 80th anniversary of the victory of the USSR over Nazi Germany. Many events are planned as part of this commemoration both in Russia and in many other countries.
