I don't post much in my channel because the intention from the start was to inspire and lately I haven't been inspired. Honestly it has been overwhelmingly depressing and I don't want to spread such energy to you.
But sometimes I see GoFundMes and such for good causes and if anyone needs a break with the help of some good people then it is definitely my boyfriend. I've supported him as much as I can but my bank account is empty and he has no-one else who can help him.
He has a huge heart and would always help others before his "bad luck" set in, even when he didn't have much to spare himself. Please, if you can send him just a dollar, it would help A LOT. Not just financially but he would also see there's still some good in this world...

Nobody is saying throw out all the "primary sources". What has been suggested is that relying heavily on "primary sources", as they were preserved by christians, isn't a wise practice. Furthermore, ancient writings are just a tiny part of Paganism.
If you follow a script, you are religious. Religion is being bound to scripture. The etymology of the word has been debated, but is often agreed to mean, "to bind or tie". Religion is to be bound to ideas, ideas that don't necessarily represent reality. Religion is inflexible, unevolving, and often dogmatic.
If you follow reality gained from shared observation and experience, you are Pagan. Paganism adheres to the realities and laws of nature, and by "nature" this doesn't only mean nature as in trees and bees, etc, but the nature of reality. The nature of how things work. The foundation of paganism is being connected to reality, to nature and it's laws.
"Traditions" are formed as expressions of observed reality. Typical thought is that following ancestral "tradition" makes you pagan, but this is backwards. You're pagan first, and from that, comes tradition. Being pagan is what creates tradition.
Addressing these two comments:
#1 "Never mind that all the concepts and language that reason depends on come from religion" - Reason and religion are pretty much the opposite of each other. As stated above, religion is inflexible and follows a script, regardless if it true or not. Reason comes from the mind, and observance of reality, experience, and testing. Reason, as logic, is to weigh variables and come to a conclusion.
#2 "Never mind that everything they know about pagan religion ultimately comes from primary sources" - Again this has been addressed above. Being pagan is not a "religion". Regarding "Odin world prayer day" and similar ideas. The thought behind it is well-meaning but I still don't support it. Scheduled prayers is a foreign concept to Norse paganism and I think it's time we step out of the box of organized religion and find true spirituality.

If you want to actively work on your connection to the gods, one thing you can do is utiseta (basically outdoor meditation). And talk to everything around you in nature as if they heard you - they do.

⬆️ I've posted a similar post before. Sadly not a cent came from anyone then. It's heartbreaking to see good people in our midst having to wither away and die because they can't afford medical treatment. If he was a member of a church then maybe they would help him but now he's pagan and there are nowhere to turn to for White Men in the US when all his family is dead.
I sincerely hope there are someone out there with a big heart who feel they can spare a dollar or two for a good man in dire need. Even a little goes a long way for a man who has nothing. 🙏

Paganism is ageless. We've known people from all over the world to be pagan for thousands of years. They're narrowing the religion down to a timeperiod of maybe 300 years in an undefined location because of some books. Spirituality comes from within its people, which is why a Nigerian can't possibly be a Norse pagan and a Norwegian can't possibly be anything but a Norse pagan, even if they both have read the Eddas.
We don't need the books, they're just useful tools to help us find our way home faster than maybe a celtic pagan would.

Greetings folks. Been quite awhile since my last post. And I truly wish this post was a happy one. Truth is, my life is a wreck right now and trying to put it back together is proving difficult. Over the past year and change, I lost my Son to a vegetative state, lost my daughter completely as a result of an attack, found myself homeless, friendless and my health has deteriorated from the stress and heartache of it all. I am literally sick every few days and when it comes I get the chills and I vomit like crazy. The stress alone has eaten a whole in my gut. And I simply do not know how to pull out of this nosedive. I've no family, no resources and every damn "program" I've applied for I got denied for. Either I'm too old, too young, too male, too white, etc etc. And the state I currently reside in is real quick in turning people away. Lest of course ur some pregnant illegal from some central American shit hole. Yeah, then they got plenty for you.
Anyway, a truly beautiful Woman with whom I love tremendously has told me over and over to reach out to people on here for help. Honestly, I am embarrassed to do so and doubt it'll come to anything. But I told her I'd try and so here I am. She keeps saying people here care and are decent and can be trusted. I guess I have little faith in anything anymore, but I believe she believes, and so I trust her opinion.
I am struggling mostly with affording my medications. I'm on heart meds, blood pressure meds, and stomach meds. The copays are killing me. I just got a new job that'll really aid in fixing my life. but for at least the next month I will remain in the same state of struggle until I finally catch up on things and my life balances out. I have to get off this hamster wheel of "feast or famine". My goal right now is not much. $150-$250. But it's a fuck of a lot when you don't have it. So I am posting this, along with my cash app and Venmo info. Even $1 will help. It all adds up. So burying my pride, I post this request. With a lil luck I'll be back in track. Anyway, thanks for taking the time to read this if nothing else. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

It is with great sadness I wake up to the news about the passing of Ursula Haverbeck. Please, honor her by telling everyone you know about her today. She carried the burning torch of truth for 96 years. We are many. Imagine if we all shared her story with at least three people today. It is insane how people born long after the WW2 ended have the right to put someone who tells their lived lifestory in jail based on what they read in a book.
