Reliable sources here in Moscow are telling me that Ukraine is planning to attempt to "disrupt" Victory Day with "Serious provocations, worse than Drones"

So serious that Zelenskys' inner circle is moving their families out of Kiev in anticipation of a massive Russian response

JOYCE'S DUBLIN IS DEAD, AND IT ISN'T COMING BACK
By Susanne Delaney

Dorset Street (which I visited on Saturday) has an Irish population of just 7%. Dorset Street and surrounding streets also have the HIGHEST crime rate in Ireland despite having the SMALLEST population of any Garda division. It has the highest rates for sexual crime and homicide. Only 36% of Dublin's North Inner City identify as "white Irish" (source: CSO).

The Truth about EOD teams in Ukraine

Recently it was reported that Christopher "Swampy" Garrett and an unnamed Aussie were killed yesterday in Lyman.

A bomb disposal expert from the Isle of Man has died, following severe injuries while dismantling an improvised explosive device.

Chris Garrett, from Peel, had dedicated years to clearing landmines in Ukraine, and stepped up to volunteer after the Russian invasion in February 2022.

Mr Garrett co-founded the charity Prevail Together, which has been disarming and detonating explosive devices placed around Ukraine.

Garrett, known by the call sign “Swampy,” had been involved in mine clearance and humanitarian efforts in Ukraine since 2014. He joined the Azov Regiment as an EOD specialist, providing training and support to Ukrainian forces

Prevail Together Ambassador and board member Shaun Pinner confirmed Mr Garrett had died in the city of Izyum on Tuesday 6 May.

Another man, thought to be an Australian national, also died as a result of the incident.

The 42-year-old had been using his skills as a bomb disposal expert to blow up artillery shells and live ammunition.

But… another piece notes:

On May 6, an IED explosion occurred on the territory of a private household in the city of Izyum, resulting in the deaths of two people and the injury of one person

So what really happened? Contrary to the nonsense these guy are disposing or blowing up these materials. What “EOD specialists” are really doing is recovering explosives and munitions for Ukrainian drone teams. It is clear he wasn’t in the field, as the report notes he was in a private household. No EOD is taking mines etc back to a private household, real military EOD guys don’t chance things and remotely destroyed explosives in the field. This tit thought it wise to crack open mines and unexploded ordinance.

So why the subterfuge?

It would risk the status of the non-profit. Here is a recent warning from the The Charity Commission for a charity violating these policies recently:

“However, providing aid or military supplies to any foreign armed force is not a charitable purpose, and no charity can legally undertake such activity.”

🇷🇺 Patriarch Kirill awarded the priest who participated in the hike through the pipe to Sudzha.

Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus' presented the Order of the Holy Blessed Prince Dmitry Donskoy, 1st degree, to Priest Alexey Skripkin. The priest walked through the pipe to Sudzha together with Russian soldiers and spiritually supported them.

“It was this humble priest who crawled through that terrible pipe… The risk was enormous, but the courage of the Orthodox priest, his love for the Fatherland were stronger than any fears. Therefore, it is worthy and right that this high order of the Russian Orthodox Church was bestowed upon Father Alexey,” the Patriarch noted.

New anti-drone MANPADS have been developed with a sighting range of 1.5 km, a radius of up to 10 meters and a body made by Russian engineers from scrap materials and with a 3D printer.

The cost is from 30 to 80 thousand rubles, (£250 - £700) depending on materials. For clarity: the Igla-S MANPADS (which, of course, is more used to shoot down helicopters and airplanes) costs almost 9 million rubles.

Performance in comparison with the Igla.

Homemade:
— Flight range - up to 2 kilometers;
— Maximum speed - about 450 km / h;
— Portable weight - only 1.2 kilograms;
— Can approximately hit a target up to seven inches.

"Igla-S":
— Flight range - up to 6 kilometers;
— Maximum speed — up to 400 m/s;
— Portable weight — no more than 19 kilograms.

According to the developers from the Vector project, the MANPADS is positioned as a toy. But it is worth inserting a conditional VOG-25, as the device becomes a means of countering enemy UAVs of the aircraft type. Now the team is working on domestic components.
