The past 589 days of the ongoing genocide, including “israel’s” latest offensive has only been possible due to the full-fledged support of the United States. The occupation's plan to forcibly displace Palestinians aligns with American interests, which seek to expand its hegemonic power in the Middle East and facilitate the deportation of Palestinians from Gaza, as suggested by the Trump Administration.

It is right here, in our own backyard, that this genocide is being manufactured. It is funded by the United States with our tax dollars. Therefore, it is up to us to put an end to it. It is our duty to continue mobilizing against the ongoing Nakba until there is a complete end to the genocide and until Palestine is free within our lifetime.

“We know the stories of our grandparents,” @ NerdeenKiswani (X/Twitter) told the crowd on Nakba Day, “who witnessed men being forced to dig their own graves before they were shot into them, who witnessed Palestinian babies being purposefully killed. Everything happening in Gaza today is not new. It’s been happening since ‘48, just on a larger scale now with proof for everyone to see. But proof was never the problem because we all know this is how colonization occurs. This is what they do to indigenous people. Palestine is not an anomaly but it is a litmus test, it is a moral compass. Because what they get away with in Gaza - they will export throughout the world. And it is our reaction that determines how far they go.”
Within the past two days alone, Gaza has witnessed the most dangerous phase since October 7th and in the entirety of Palestinian history, as reported by journalist Bisan Owda in Gaza. Following the announcement of the occupation’s latest military operation, more than 300,000 Palestinians have been forcibly displaced, over 500 martyred, and thousands of homes destroyed—all within just three days. Overnight five Palestinian journalist were targeted across Gaza, bringing the total number of journalists martyred during the ongoing genocide to over 220. And just hours ago the Indonesian Hospital in northern Gaza has been surrounded by tanks and besieged by zionist forces, with all communication with the doctors, nurses and patients inside cut off.

These are not just statistics or breaking news headlines; they represent a systematic attack on life, dignity, and humanity.

“Palestinians have always resisted no matter how much we have been betrayed. We only rely on ourselves to liberate our people and liberate our land. This is what Palestinians have been doing since even before 1948. We fought British colonization just like we’re fighting zionist colonization and the Nakba never ended. We know it started in ‘48 – 750,000 Palestinians expelled, 531 villages depopulated with some of the same tactics we see today. But they weren’t recorded on cameras and they were wiped out from history books.”

@ NerdeenKiswani (X/Twitter) speaking at our Nakba 77 rally in NYC on May 15th, 2025.
Speaking at the opening of our Nakba 77 rally on Thursday, WOL’s Chair and Founder @ NerdeenKiswani (X/Twitter) declared, “Throughout all of this hell and horror Palestinians have not stopped fighting, have not given up on freedom and liberation, have not sold out the resistance. So what’s our excuse? Where’s the rest of the world? Was it just a trend? Because the genocide is not over. In fact we are living in the darkest days of it now. Palestinians are not just being shot and blown up to death, they are also being purposefully inflicted with disease and with famine. It’s been over 75 days where no aid trucks are allowed into Gaza. People are literally starving to death. 75 days. No food. No medicine. No fuel. No water.”

Coinciding with Donald Trump’s visit to the region, occupation forces launched a brutal military operation named “Gideon’s Chariots” officially announced on May 16th — deliberately timed with the anniversary of the Nakba. This is no coincidence. It marks a calculated escalation in the zionist entity’s ground offensive and ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people, with the aim of occupying most of the Gaza Strip and displacing hundreds of thousands of Palestinians.

It is also no coincidence that this escalation is unfolding as Trump secures hundreds of billions of dollars in deals with Arab regimes complicit in normalization, all while the United States continues to fund and manufacture the genocide against the Palestinian people. Meanwhile all aid has been blocked from entering Gaza for over 75 days.

🚨EMERGENCY: ALL OUT TO COLUMBIA!

📢 Monday, April 21, 2025
⏰ 12 PM
📍 116th St & Broadway

Students have chained themselves to the main gates demanding the freedom of Mahmoud Khalil & Mohsen Mahdawi! They are also demanding financial transparency, a sanctuary campus, and for Columbia to open the gates! Stand with them!

🇵🇸As Columbia students prepare to graduate the students in the West Bank go under threat of attack by settlers armed by our government and the students of Gaza have been out of school for nearly two years. There are no universities left in Gaza. Aid is continuously denied entry to Gaza and Palestinians are relentlessly killed, Palestinians are facing famine while the U.S. arms and funds Israel’s genocide. Columbia is complicit—invested in weapons manufacturers and institutions that uphold apartheid.

🔥 The time for neutrality is over. Join Columbia students in the fight for liberation now!

Today we join Palestinians around the world in honoring Shireen Abu Akleh, who was assassinated three years ago by israeli occupation forces in Jenin while wearing her PRESS vest. In her own words, “I chose journalism to be close to the people.” Close to the people she was, and remains.

On Nakba Day in 2022 just days after her martyrdom we honored her memory as we took to the streets for Palestine. Three years later, at least 213 journalists like Shireen have been martyred amidst the ongoing genocide in Gaza. They were more than just reporters — they were Palestinians who embraced the role of defending the truth and fighting for a free Palestine. They spoke with courage, and embodied the spirit of resistance with their immortal voice.

As we continue to take to the streets for Gaza, Jenin, and Palestine, we honor all our martyrs, who guide us forward on the path of liberation and return within our lifetime.

Join us Thursday for Nakba 77. 4 PM. Cadman Plaza, Brooklyn Bridge.
