By the decision of the President of the Russian Federation and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, V.V. Putin, for humanitarian reasons, a ceasefire will be declared from midnight on May 7 to midnight on May 10 in honor of the 80th anniversary of Victory. During this period, all hostilities will be halted.

Russia believes that the Ukrainian side should follow this example.

In the event of violations of the ceasefire by Ukraine, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation will respond adequately and effectively.

The Russian side once again expresses its readiness for peace negotiations without preconditions, aimed at addressing the root causes of the Ukrainian crisis and fostering constructive cooperation with international partners.

The basic problem is that Zelenskyy doesn't want to make a deal. He has rebuffed the American's on Crimea which should be the easiest point to give on. He's been completely unrealistic about the prospects on a battlefield...

It was Kyiv that withdrew from the negotiation process in April 2022, doing so at the request of its Western backers. Then, in September of that year, Zelensky imposed a legislative ban on negotiations with Russia, which remains in effect. To resume talks, this ban must be lifted. In a recent interview with CBS News, Zelensky reiterated his opposition to negotiations with our country, stating: "We cannot trust Russia. We cannot trust negotiations with Russia."

Our position on the resolution is well known. We believe that Ukraine's non-membership in NATO and its confirmation of a neutral, non-aligned status in accordance with the Declaration of State Sovereignty of Ukraine from 1990 are two fundamental bases for a final settlement that meets Russia's security interests. The second basis involves overcoming the consequences of the neo-Nazi regime in Kyiv that emerged as a result of the coup in February 2014, including its actions aimed at the legislative and physical eradication of everything Russian—language, media, culture, traditions, and canonical Orthodoxy.

A key imperative is the international recognition of Russia's ownership of Crimea, Sevastopol, the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR), Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia. All obligations from Kyiv must be legally enshrined, have enforcement mechanisms, and be of an indefinite nature.

The agenda includes tasks related to the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, lifting sanctions, legal claims and arrest warrants, and the return of "frozen" Russian assets held in the West.

We will also seek reliable security guarantees for the Russian Federation against threats posed by the hostile activities of NATO, the European Union, and their individual member states along our western borders.

If Russia truly wants peace, it must cease fire immediately. Why wait until May 8th? If the fire can be ceased now and since any date for 30 days - so it is real, not just for parade.

They condemned the policy of appeasement and demanded a unified and firm stance against the terrorist regime of Russia, emphasizing that Ukraine cannot be a subject of external pressure or compromises regarding its sovereignty.

The complete defeat of the enemy in the Kursk border region creates conditions for further successful actions by our troops on other critical sections of the front, bringing us closer to the defeat of the neo-Nazi regime.
