He was a Scottish Jesuit priest and martyr. He was a convert from Calvinism. In London, he ministered to the hiding Catholics with "John WatsonтАЬ as his alias. He was eventually captured and tortured. It is said that he was kept awake for 8 days and 9 nights. He was later sentenced to be hanged and disemboweled for the faith. Before he died, he was able to throw his rosary to the crowd. The person who got his rosary got converted.
