Тема: "PAC навчання та топологія".

Спікер: Богдан Чорномаз, PhD, пост-док факультету математики Техніону — Ізраїльського технологічного інституту.

Модель PAC learning, запропонована Веліантом ще у 80-х, є одним із фундаментальних фреймворків теорії машинного навчання. Попри свою абстрактність, вона лишається актуальною і досі слугує основою для значної частини теоретичних досліджень у ML.

На семінарі ми розглянемо PAC-модель під несподіваним, але природним кутом — з точки зору топології. Зокрема, обговоримо використання топологічних інструментів, як теорема Борсука–Уляма, для аналізу стабільності навчання. В якості прикладу розберемо топологічно обґрунтований бар‘єр для list-replicable learning.

Семінар буде особливо цікавим для тих, хто заглиблюється в теорію машинного навчання або працює на перетині математики та ML.

Що буде, якщо зв‘язки у великій мережі визначаються випадковим середовищем? Здавалося б, у такій «двічі стохастичній» ситуації панує лише хаос. Але математика дивує: навіть тут виникає впорядкована та передбачувана структура — нескінченний ліс і трохи псевдодерев.

А якщо нам вистачить часу (і піску), зазирнемо також у світ піщаних груп — загадкових математичних об‘єктів, що вміють моделювати складні динамічні системи з несподіваною елегантністю.

Our alumni and a good friend Yevgen Nebesov will talk about how software engineering will look once AI evolves and matures. This talk aims to answer that question. It introduces a simple mental model, illustrating how all systems, including sociotechnical ones, are shaped by constraints. The talk further examines which human limitations hinder software engineering today and how AI could relax these constraints in the future. As a result, AI is likely to completely reshape the categories and paradigms of software engineering as we know them.
