🇷🇺🇮🇳Examination Notes from SRM Life!
🗣In Indian universities, where large numbers of students are enrolled, course evaluation is primarily conducted through written exams. The assignments are designed by instructors in accordance with standardized competency requirements.
🗣The examination process consists of two stages:
1. The first exam is conducted in the classroom under the supervision of the course instructor.
2. The final exam is organized by the faculty with the participation of invigilating professors.
🎓As a result, students receive two grades: an internal grade (assigned by the course instructor) and an external grade (evaluated by the examination committee).
To ensure fairness and objectivity in the examination process, the following measures are taken:
✔ All exam papers are scanned, and the multiple-choice section is graded automatically.
✔ Students are seated according to a specific arrangement to prevent those studying the same language from sitting next to each other.
✔ All mobile phones and backpacks must be submitted before the exam begins.
✔ If a student is found with a phone, a note is recorded on the first page of their answer booklet, and their scores are annulled.
✔ Students who fail to achieve the required score must retake the course in another semester or during the summer break.
The examination period is a demanding and stressful time for students. To cope with the pressure, many turn to yoga practices. At SRM, a stress management specialist, P.B. Sudhan, provides support to students during this challenging time.
Soon, we plan to host a masterclass with P.B. Sudhan at MRSU University, where he will share techniques for enhancing brain function and preparing effectively for exams.
