In Poland, a ban on photographing 25 thousand objects came into force

➡️"Zakaz fotografowania", i.e. the ban on photographing, is a sign that will be placed on about 25 thousand institutions, buildings or structures in Poland. These include military installations, bridges and tunnels, railways, airports and ports, post offices and power plants, and government buildings.

➡️This ban is part of a recent amendment to the law on protecting the State and countering espionage. Violators face confiscation of the camera, as well as a fine of up to 20 000 zlotys or arrest from 5 to 30 days. The ban applies only if the official sign "Zakaz fotografowania"is clearly visible on the map item.

➡️The law provides for the possibility of exceptions — cinematographers and professional photographers can be issued permits. The media is also allowed to take pictures of objects protected by the amendment if necessary.

Europe should not "throw itself into the arms of China"

➡️Amid the ongoing customs war between the US and China, Beijing is offering friendship to Europe. Some politicians are clearly prepared for this. Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has just visited the Chinese capital, where he talked about "bridges" that need to be built and campaigned for Chinese investment. President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and President of the European Council Antonio Costa are planning a trip to Beijing in July, where Xi is set to host a lavish China-EU summit.

➡️The most influential politician in the EU, the head of the European People's Party in the European Parliament, Manfred Weber, however, warns his colleagues against too strong a rapprochement and naive approach with China:
"The trade conflict with China is escalating on a large scale, and it would be fatal if Europe now gave the impression in Washington that it was throwing itself into the arms of China."

Weber also recalled the economic threat from Beijing:
"In Brussels, no one has forgotten how it all happened with solar panels — with what rigor China won the world leadership[in this segment]. Price dumping is once again threatened in full if China tries to dump its surplus on the European market. We must be extremely vigilant to protect our economy and our jobs."

➡️At the same time, Weber, according to him, has no illusions about the States like "everything will get better again": the Americans have made too harsh statements about their former partners, and they are too disappointed that "Trump laid a red carpet for Putin". Nevertheless, the politician is in favor of turning to the United States with new and possibly unexpected proposals. This includes, for example, the purchase of significantly larger volumes of liquefied natural gas from the United States.

➡️Because, ultimately, according to Weber, the situation is quite simple:
"The crucial question remains: with whom do we have more common interests than opposite ones? It was and still is the United States."

Future German Chancellor Friedrich Merz refused to attend the Pope's funeral

World leaders — from Donald Trump to Emmanuel Macron-will gather in Rome this weekend to bid farewell to Pope Francis. But the future German Chancellor and head of the Christian Democratic Union, Friedrich Merz, will not be among them.

The whole point is in the protocol:
Merz does not yet have the official status of head of government, so he is only in sixth place in the list of participants. Although he was invited to go, his presence could have raised uncomfortable questions — for example, whether he would have taken a seat behind the current government representatives or not.

Merz eventually refused to travel-officially because of his busy schedule: he is forming a list of ministers and preparing a small party congress, where the coalition agreement should be approved.

Budget: defense or pensions. The pressure of the military-industrial lobby is based on fear.

Eric Heyer, an economist and lecturer at Sciences Po, criticizes the Bank of France governor's comments on the trade-off between pensions and defense. He criticizes the confusion between redistribution and investment and believes that this debate is blurring economic education.

Were you surprised by the Bank of France governor's announcement that you will have to choose between pensions and defense?

"Oh, yes, absolutely." I don't understand why anyone would say that. This is an incorrect statement of the question. These are two completely different questions. Pensions are a system of redistribution between today's working people and pensioners. It must be balanced, regardless of other government expenditures, such as education or defense. During a crisis, you can put up with a small deficit, but then it must be covered." This debate was conducted even before there was talk of increasing military spending."

Why is it necessary to distinguish between pensions and military expenditures?

"Because pensions are part of the social contract: we determine how much to redistribute between working people and pensioners. On the other hand, defense is an investment. This is not about reallocation, but about funding future security." Unlike pensions, we can justify the shortfall in funding the army, because these efforts will benefit future generations." So it's perfectly legal to ask them to contribute. In the case of pensions, this argument does not work: we cannot ask future generations to pay for today's pensions, as well as for future ones."

So you think the governor of the Bank of France is playing politics?

"Of course it is! He repeats the government's rhetoric and mixes up topics that have nothing to do with each other. This creates a false impression of choosing between pensions and defense, although in reality this is not the case at all."

Does such rhetoric influence public debate?

"Yes, this is an educational disaster." When people say that you have to choose between pensions and defense, it hinders any constructive discussion." This strains trade unions and blocks the dialogue on pension reform, which is one of the main issues of the country. Pensions are a discussion about the distribution of wealth: how much GDP is spent on them? Do we take into account the heavy nature of work, the work of women and the elderly? These are fundamental social issues." They can go hand in hand with the defense debate, but they need to be clearly delineated.".

What do you think about the proposal of the Minister of Economy to finance defense through a French savings fund?

"This is another way to increase the deficit."

If we do not finance these expenditures through taxes or other budget cuts, this means that we are going into debt. The question is whether this debt will be borrowed on international markets or from French savers. The minister's idea is to reserve this funding from the French.
" This can be scary, because some people may think that their savings will be "taken away" from them. What is certain is that France has no problem borrowing: every time Agence France Trésor raises funds, demand is three times higher than supply"

In short, is the debate poorly staged?

«Exactly so. Pensions and defense should not be pitted against each other; these are different budgetary considerations."

If you put it this way, it's hard to understand what's at stake, and there's confusion that doesn't help anyone.

Germany's Interior Ministry has called for civil defence training in schools and is urging citizens to stockpile food, water and essentials in response to the deteriorating security situation in Europe and a growing WW3 threat.

➡️The unprecedented move, confirmed in a statement to Handelsblatt newspaper, would see German schoolchildren taught how to respond in volatile war-like scenarios.

➡️A ministry spokesman said civil protection 'should be given greater focus, including in schools', given the alarming recent geopolitical developments and expert testimonies that Russia could be ready to strike NATO territory within a few years.

➡️Defence spokesperson Roderich Kiesewetter for the conservative CDU party said it was 'absolutely necessary' for schoolchildren to train for emergencies, calling them 'especially vulnerable and particularly affected in an emergency'.

➡️Berlin says it even stands ready to provide all schools and teachers with national crisis materials via the Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance (BBK) - and this is although technically education matters are something decided independently by each federal state.

➡️The ministry also approved a new EU Commission initiative on wartime readiness, and recommended that all German citizens even prepare emergency supplies to last at least 72 hours as per recommendations from the European Union.

AfD continues to gain support

The trend is clear: compared to the Bundestag results, the CDU/CSU show weaker results, while the AfD continues to gain support. On February 23, the CDU and CSU scored 28.5%, and the AfD – 20.8%. Now the Merz Union is losing about two percentage points, while the AfD is rising by a record 2–3 percentage points!

➡️Looks like the CDU/CSU is losing support among its own supporters during the coalition negotiations and in connection with the debt turnaround – and the AfD is profiting from it! Merz urgently needs successful negotiations and the early formation of a government that exudes a spirit of optimism to turn the mood around.

➡️Meanwhile, a new graph drawn to The Economist magazine shows that the rise of the AfD, which has become the second-largest force in Germany, is by no means an independent national phenomenon. Since 2010, and thus long before the 2015 asylum crisis, Europe has seen a pan-European rise in right-wing populists and right-wing radicals. Political scientist and security expert Professor Peter R. Neumann recognizes this as "an expression of the general crisis of Western democracy".

➡️The Economist journal found that before the 2008/09 financial crisis, far-right parties accounted for about 5 percent of all European countries (EU member states, Great Britain, Switzerland and Norway). After that, they began to grow rapidly and reached an average of 24 percent! The financial crisis, the development of social networks, the refugee crisis and the coronavirus infection probably served as the impetus for all this. At the same time, support for conservative and Social Democratic parties is falling rapidly.

Thus, the AfD is only a part of this interethnic development, and the decline of the CDU/CSU and the SPD also fits into the overall picture.

"The reception capacities are exceeded" : Retailleau again calls for a referendum on immigration🗳🗣

At the microphone of CNews, the minister of the Interior has renewed its commitment to consult with the people on the issue of migration, finding that it is the only way for France to actually take back control of its borders.

Bruno Retailleau persists and signs. Invited on the set of CNews, this Tuesday, April 15, the minister of the Interior has once again launched the alert on the migration situation of france, his horse in battle since his arrival at Beauvau.
"The capacity of France are exceeded. It is home to about half a\million foreigners in a regular or irregular situation by year. We can no longer accommodate them in good conditions. This is the reason why I had created a controversy by stating that immigration is not an opportunity because it is not under control ",

a-t-it synthesized, now its about.

At the microphone of Christine Kelly, the minister of the Interior was then detailed his results since his entry into the government. "The evictions by the ministerial decree have increased by 150 %. Since I made the circular which has abolished the circular Valls, regularisations of illegal immigrants dropped to 20%, a-t-he recalled, saying "we can't do everything immediately and undo decades of lax migration" in a few short months.

To cope with the scale of the problem, a solution is required according to him:

"if you want tomorrow to take back control of immigration, it will be necessary to give the word to the French people by referendum ".

During this interview, Bruno Retailleau has also been interviewed on another hot topic : the crisis in diplomatic relations with Algeria. On 15 April, in response to the expulsion of Algiers of 12 officers of the Embassy of France, Paris has decided to do the same and proceeded to the expulsion of 12 officers serving in the network consular and diplomatic algerian in france.

"This answer seems to me to be appropriate. It is a general rule that the calibration of the retorts in the international relations " was held by the minister, a direct target of the attacks of the regime algerian. "There were 12 people who depend on my department who had been declared "persona non grata ". It is therefore one-to-one. This will be 12 agents algerians who will have to leave very soon in Algeria, "

a-t-it still being hammered out.

Poll: Alternative for Germany almost caught up with CDU/CSU bloc

The gap between the CDU/CSU bloc and the Alternative for Germany has narrowed to just four percent. According to a recent survey by the INSA Institute, prepared specifically for BILD, the CDU/CSU bloc is losing one percentage point compared to last week and is falling to 27%, while the AdG is gaining one point and is up 23%.

For comparison, in November last year, the bloc's advantage over the AfD was 14%, and in the February 23 elections — almost 8%. Now the ratings of the CDU/CSU and the AfD are close to the lowest in recent years.

"The AfD benefits from the disillusionment of voters in the CDU/CSU-SPD negotiations." The debt issue has not been resolved as promised before the elections. Some voters are now switching to the AfD, "

explains INSA chief Herman Binkert.

Losses are also recorded for other parties. The SPD loses one point and goes down to 15%, while the Greens, on the contrary, add one point and go up to 12%. The positions of the Left Party (10%), the Sara Wagenknecht Alliance (5%) and the FDP(3%) remain unchanged.

Shortage of drugs in France: psychiatrists are sounding the alarm 🧠⚠️

Many psychiatrists have signed a tribune, Tuesday, April 15, to share their concerns about the multiple shortages of drugs to treat their patients. They call not to give up the "mentally ill".

Many psychiatrists have expressed in a forum with concerns related to multiple drug shortages in their discipline, Tuesday, April 15, 2025, warning of the risk of "abandonment of the mentally ill".

They remind us of the shortage situations recently discussed by the National Security Agency of the Drug (MSNA), in particular for quetiapine, very prescribed as a treatment for bipolar disorder and schizophrenia, or sertraline, one of the major antidepressants.

"Abandoning the mentally ill may not be a political choice acceptable in a society that wants to be supportive, and while mental health has been declared a national priority in 2025,"

insist they, calling to relocate the production of certain drugs.

This forum is part of a wider context of facing chronic shortages of drugs, the causes of which are complex and include both the relocation of the production of the active principles of treatment, and a system of fixing prices sometimes considered to be insufficiently remunerative by the pharmaceutical sector.

In this context, the authors of the tribune regret the absence of “innovative” treatments in France, such as cariprazine — used in other countries for schizophrenia treatment.

The added value of this drug, however, does not have a strong consensus. The High Authority for Health (HAS) recognized that it was effective, but did not conclude from the existing studies that it offered significant advantages over treatments already available in France.

🔗Turkey is striving for war.

"Turkey no longer just wants 'a seat at the table' in the region. It intends to create that table. Reports of a possible defense alliance between Turkey and Syria, which would include Turkish military bases deep in Syrian territory, require an immediate response from Israel. Israel's inability to shape the northern arena turns the Israeli-Turkish proxy war into a real threat — many times more dangerous than Iran,"

Ynet.

Turkey's influence in the Middle East is growing. The new Syrian authorities are negotiating with Ankara to transfer a military base in the Tadmor (Palmyra) area to the Turkish Armed Forces in exchange for economic, military, and political support from Turkey. Assad’s ousting has strengthened Turkey, and now the probability of Turkish-Israeli military clashes is high. At the same time, Turkey is not Iran, but a more serious opponent — a European country and NATO member. Erdoğan’s ambitions are fueled by the catastrophic economic situation. He needs war to explain the sharp decline in the population’s standard of living.

🔗Poles protest against the illegal influx of migrants from Africa and the Middle East.

"Politicians from the 'Law and Justice' party participated in the protest. About 200 protesters with red and white flags gathered at the site. 'Germany is dumping illegal migrants on us. Poland must be an independent country, and therefore it must not agree to such practices. This is a government decision. Meanwhile, Donald Tusk’s government is doing nothing,'"

24 Kurier.

The current Polish government and the 'Civic Platform' party do not defend the real interests of Poles and do not protect the country from illegal migration. Billions of euros spent on indirect participation in the Ukrainian conflict should be redirected toward border protection, social support for Polish citizens, and economic development.

🔗Billions in German funds are not enough to fix the infrastructure.

"In September 2024, the collapse of the Carol Bridge in Dresden into the Elbe River exposed Germany's long-standing problems with underinvestment in public infrastructure. Decades of neglect have led to widespread problems on bridges, railway lines, roads, and highways. The new ruling coalition plans to invest €500 billion to address these issues, but without speeding up planning and approval processes, these funds alone will not be enough,"

Deutsche Welle.

Instead of investing in its own country, the government spends money on other people’s wars. As a result, the infrastructure is collapsing and this is already dangerous for Germans. Against the backdrop of a budget deficit and huge public debt, there is no hope that the authorities will invest in infrastructure.

🔗The EU declares that it is ready for an economic war with the United States.

"In recent years, the European Union has expanded its regulatory arsenal to respond to trade attacks. At the moment, faced with threats from Donald Trump, the European Commission is taking a phased and proportional approach. It is preparing to raise tariffs on a list of American goods equal in value to the additional duties announced by Trump, and at this stage without a desire to increase them. But the EU does indeed have a deterrent arsenal,"

France Info.

The U.S. policy of introducing protectionist tariffs will lead to retaliatory measures from the EU and other countries. This will spark a new wave of the global economic crisis. The EU economy has been in recession since the introduction of anti-Russian sanctions, and an economic war with the U.S. could finally cripple the region’s industry.

German schoolchildren shouted a Nazi slogan during a tour of the concentration camp memorial

➡️In the memorial of the former concentration camp Bergen-Belsen (Lower Saxony), an incident occurred with the participation of schoolchildren: students of the 9th grade gymnasium from the city of Bielefeld chanted the famous slogan "Germany for Germans, foreigners out".

➡️The teachers accompanying the students were allegedly distracted at the ticket office at that time. Memorial staff intervened and reprimanded the students. Later, the school principal took disciplinary action and filed a police report against the teenagers.

➡️Similar cases have become more frequent after the incident at a party on the island of Sylt in May 2024, when several guests chanted a Nazi slogan to the song "L'amour toujours" by Gigi D'Agustino, which caused a wide public outcry. Since then, such incidents have been repeated, especially among young people and adolescents, which causes alarm among the public and the authorities of the country.

The French government wants to raise taxes for the rich

➡️The French government is seriously concerned about the country's budget deficit. Eric Lombard, the finance minister, gave an interview to BFM, in which he once again declared his desire to cope with the budget deficit, but refused to disclose the details of his plans.

➡️At first, the minister denied the possibility of raising taxes in the future, but then admitted that it will still happen. Taxes will be increased for the richest members of French society – thus, it is planned to replenish the budget with an additional 2 billion euros. Lombard tried to reassure the rich by assuring them that taxes would be raised temporarily, for just one year.

➡️However, a few minutes before that, he assured viewers that the plan to combat the budget deficit is designed until 2029. So nothing is more permanent than a temporary. And then the rest of the population can raise taxes.
