Would you look at that, it's time for another #WhoAsked with
● Review in Short ●
10/10, deep emotions with a clear message to send. Worth a rewatch.
● My Thoughts in Full ●
This is another Doctor-lite episode with Ruby as a protagonist much like 73 Yards from season 1 (also the forth episode, not a coincidence I'm sure)
A classic Doctor Who set up with a campy monster and a common person that's in danger.
The twist really caught me off guard but I should have known given Conrad was a podcast bro (but also some of his mannerisms were concerning, great foreshadowing). Tbh I loooooooved watching him shitting his pants from the Shreek and getting his arm bitten off, very cathartic.
I was hesitant at first about my rating but I honestly loved this episode. It's a giant middle finger to fearmongering conspiracy theorists that don't really know what they're talking about and everything hit just right. Also the ending, Mrs Flood coming to free Conrad and claiming to be the Governor (either of the prison or as a Gallifreian-like name, I'm not sure).
Beautiful episode, can't wait for next week.
