The greatest rebellion in history will be led by people who think they’re serving God.
Most people won’t consciously think they’re opposing God.
They might even pray, read Scripture, or claim to be doing “God’s work.” But deep down, they’ve already rejected His ways, because:
They refuse to believe that God would allow evil governments or corrupt leaders.
Yet Romans 13:1 says, “There is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.”
They reject the idea that God uses trials, suffering, and judgment to test and refine hearts.
But 1 Peter 4:12 says, “Do not be surprised at the fiery trial... as though something strange were happening to you.”
And Isaiah 10:5 shows God using even wicked rulers as “the rod of His anger.”
They only accept a version of God that aligns with their own values, freedom, empowerment, victory, nationalism.
They create a god in their image (Psalm 50:21).
So when discomfort comes, they assume it’s satanic.
But what if God allowed it all for a greater purpose?
He raises up kings and removes them (Daniel 2:21). He hardens hearts. He sends delusions (2 Thessalonians 2:11).
Not because He’s cruel, but to expose the true condition of the human heart.
But Satan twists it.
He convinces people they’re victims of oppression, so they rebel.
They call God’s discipline injustice. They call His refining fire tyranny.
They try to tear it all down in the name of righteousness.
That’s the trap.
The beast will destroy Babylon (Revelation 17:16), and the world will celebrate.
They’ll believe they’ve overthrown the corrupt system.
But they won’t realize, they’re fulfilling God’s judgment, not defeating it (Revelation 17:17).
And the rebellion won’t stop there.
The same spirit that wages war on Babylon will gather to fight Christ Himself at His return (Revelation 19:19).
And He will not come back as a gentle teacher.
“Their flesh shall rot while they stand on their feet, their eyes shall rot in their sockets, and their tongues shall rot in their mouths.”

“He shall break them with a rod of iron and dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.”

What can we do in the midst of all of this? The only solution is to divorce ourselves from the world and trust in Jesus’ Word alone

It should not come as a surprise that “evil men and seducers are waxing worse; deceiving, and being deceived” (2 Tim. 3:13)
The Word of God is being further fulfilled with each passing day
The Bible tells us that things don't all of a sudden get better in the end times. They get progressively worse until the day that Christ returns to judge the quick and the dead
Satan baits us with evil, designed to provoke us into responding with more evil (anger, hate, rebellion, etc.)
Don’t hate— pray instead
Pray for those of the household of faith. Pray for your loved ones. Pray for the lost
Darkness is coming
Whatever happens, we must smile at it. If we tremble in fear or allow it to make us angry, we will be overcome by the enemy
Trust in the Lord, wear the Armor of God, take a stand for your faith, and have no fellowship with darkness

I’ve read portions of the Old Testament in the past, such as Proverbs, Psalms, etc., but never have I started “in the beginning” (Gen. 1:1) and read onward
Well, the Lord put it on my heart to begin reading the Old Testament in January of this year, and to (attempt to) go all the way through to Malachi
Currently I’m in 2nd Chronicles 33 and about to move into Ezra
This meme really resonates, as I was shocked to see how deep the Old Testament is— and how much of the New Testament is better explained/understood by knowledge of the Old
It’s been a profound experience
The OT provides a better understanding of the Messianic genealogy, the early faith figures (Heb. 11), the implications of sin, and Gods dealings with those who were under the law; and how it compares to the current grace covenant
It was also really cool to see how much of Deuteronomy was quoted by Jesus during His earthly ministry
Please, read the OT if you haven’t! It will sharpen your faith in ways that are hard to be explained by words!
