I've never understood workaholic culture. Why on earth would you bust your ass more than you have to for a company that's just going to discard you like trash the second it suits their bottom line to do so anyways no matter how hard you work?
Maybe if this was an era where we had an actual functional social contract still instead of the one sided pile of shit we have today, and companies actually still valued their workers and there was still an environment of mutual respect between employee and employer, but those days are long gone. I weighed myself day 1 of Great Lent, 167 pounds. I weighed myself last night, 150 pounds. If that's not solid results, I don't know what is. And that's WITHOUT cutting carbs or keto or anything like that, since most Lenten food is very heavy on carbs. Most of that was rigid intermittent fasting.
Now 167 isn't overweight for someone my size but I have some issue where whenever I have body fat it all just goes straight to belly fat, and that's the problem. I wasn't fat but I'd have a beer gut. What causes this? Is this some hormone imbalance or something like that preventing it from distributing more evenly on my body? Even at 150 I still have it a little bit but there's probably almost zero body fat anywhere else.

What's the deal with the people who live here in this region of India? They seem to not be your typical Jeets, they seem to be more Asian-looking (closer to Burmese than actual Jeets possibly?), first world country level low street shitting levels, and some of these regions seem to be even majority Christian. Very underdeveloped though from what I've heard.

The talmud in Yoma 39b states that in the 40 years leading up to the destruction of the temple (70 AD) that sacrificial rituals stopped happening as they were supposed to, and lights in the temple that were supposed to stay lit kept going out.
While I don't for one second recognize the talmud as a valid scripture (nor should anyone else for that matter), it does paint an undeniable picture that the Jews themselves acknowledge that something was not right in the temple, starting right around the time of the crucifixion of Christ.

Unfortunately the fact of the matter is that even if you avoid smoking, alcohol, sugary drinks, and everything else that causes cancer, and live a super healthy lifestyle, some people in that boat still get it. Why? It's simple, the environment we live in is so thoroughly toxic that it's just inescapable. Unless you live in a cabin like Ted Kaczynski in the wilderness or something, and even then it's not guaranteed since a lot of building materials are carcinogenic even ones we don't recognize as such.
(I know Ted died from cancer but that was probably after living in the toxic prison environment for decades more than anything he did before then)
