WASHINGTON COUNTY, Fla. - A man in Florida was arrested after a woman he allegedly assaulted and held in a storage container escaped.

Aformer Bridgewater-Raritan High School gym teacher and coach who pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a student has lost her teaching license.
Lydia Pinto, 40, was sentenced by Superior Court Judge Peter Tober on Feb. 14 to 364 days in the Somerset County Jail after she pleaded guilty on Nov. 6, 2024 to a sexual assault charge. Pinto agreed to relinquish her certificates to teach health and physical education, driver education and students with disabilities. The State Board of Examiners in the Department of Education voted in April to accept Pinto's decision. Pinto had also coached field hockey and girls lacrosse at the school.

A Las Vegas man has been handed a 13-year prison sentence followed by 15 years of supervised release for crimes involving the coercion and enticement of minors. Denzel Renyal Michael Loyd, identified as a self-proclaimed pimp, utilized social media, particularly Facebook, to reach out to his victims. According to a statement from the Department of Justice, Loyd was convicted on four counts after he solicited minors for sexual acts, requested sexually explicit photos and videos, and even attempted to persuade them into prostitution.

ZAMBOANGA CITY — Three Filipina women who have been victims of human trafficking and forced to work in Malaysia as sex workers have been successfully repatriated, according to a Bureau of Immigration (BI) report.
According to BI spokesperson Dana Sandoval, the three women, ages 30 to 32, arrived at the Port of Zamboanga on April 5 from Sandakan, Sabah witness of MV Antonia.

Raids in the Dominican Republic rescued two children from sexual exploitation.
Local law enforcement asked our agents to assist them when they got word of children suffering sexual abuse. We helped with surveillance and assisted police during the raid, which rescued the 16- and 13-year-old girls. Three traffickers were arrested during the operations. Thanks to our team’s collaboration with local authorities, those criminals can no longer harm children.

ActionSA is incensed and outraged by the latest—and most disturbing—incident yet in South Africa’s spiralling human trafficking crisis, in which 44 foreign nationals, including 17 minors, were rescued today from a trafficking safehouse in Parkmore, Johannesburg. The victims, predominantly from Ethiopia and Bangladesh, were being held hostage under false pretences of job opportunities.
This comes on the back of similar horror discoveries: 26 individuals in Sandringham earlier this year, 90 in Sunningdale in August 2024, and 26 in Benoni in August 2023. This is no longer a national embarrassment but a national emergency. South Africa is being overrun by international human trafficking syndicates who operate freely, aided by corrupt officials, porous borders, and a government that has surrendered its duty to protect its citizens.
