A silent gospel and a hidden witness will not minister to those in the valley of decisions. Let us pray that God would send out labourers into the harvest~fields of souls that need to be saved by grace through faith in Christ, and let us ask God to bring into our lives people, with whom we can share the good news that: "Whoever will call on the name of the Lord, will be delivered ~ for how can they call on the Lord, in Whom they have not believed? And how will they believe in Him, Whom they have not heard? And how will they hear about His message of salvation without a preacher?"

They Went Out From Us
A couple of months ago, I shared the Gospel with a woman of the Jewish religion living in Israel. Very nice woman. She told me that she “was” a Christian and had taught a Sunday school class, but she went to Israel and a Jewish man converted her to Judaism.
I spent some time praying for her and messaging her. She ultimately called Christianity a cult, and that I should not try to convert her as she would never change. I gave her the Gospel and she refused. That is her decision.
In our lives we likely have known those who have heard the Gospel and perhaps had positions in the church and later dropped out. Even recanting Christianity. We pray for them to saved. Once you share the Gospel them, pray for them and move on. Keep sowing the Gospel Seed as there are those who are waiting for you to tell them.
Keep fishing. Share Gospel tracts. God bless you and make you a blessing.
1 John 2:19
They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

Stained with Blood So Divine
"But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead al-ready,...one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith there came out blood and water." (John 19:33-34)
As with many of the great hymns, the verses of "The Old Rugged Cross" tell a story when considered in sequence. The first verse states the general doctrine of the cross; the second speaks of the necessity of the incarnation to accomplish the cross' purpose; the third, quoted below, gives details of the crucifixion and what it accomplished, and the last verse rehearses the results, both now and in the future.
In the old rugged cross, stained with blood so divine,
A wondrous beauty I see;
For t'was on that old cross Jesus suffered and died
To pardon and sanctify me.
That old rugged cross was stained with blood, as is obvious from our text. But this blood was special, for "ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold...but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world" (1 Peter 1:18-20).
The divine Lamb of God suffered and died on the cross,
"in whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins" (Colossians 1:14), "that he might sanctify the people with his own blood" (Hebrews 13:12).
But the old rugged cross was not the only thing stained that day, for "the blood of Jesus Christ...cleanseth us from all sin"
(1 John 1:7). The saints in heaven are portrayed as having
"washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb" (Revelation 7:14). "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow" (Isaiah 1:18). So I'll cherish the old rugged cross. JDM

Driving to work one morning, I heard an announcement on the radio about a lost dog. The DJ said the owner was offering a very large cash reward for its return. Getting to the traffic segment of his broadcast, the DJ asked the helicopter pilot who monitors morning rush hour what the roads were like. “Forget the traffic,” the pilot said on the air, “We're going to look for that dog!”

1 Peter 1:17-21
17 Since you call on a Father who judges each person’s work impartially, live out your time as foreigners here in reverent fear.
18 For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemedfrom the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors,
19 but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. 20 He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake. 21 Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God.

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, thank You for the truth that the just shall live by faith. Help me to persevere and not draw back through fear or unbelief. Strengthen my faith so that I may walk humbly with You, depending on Your righteousness and not my own. May my life be an example of faithfulness, and may I never turn away from the path You have set before me. In Jesus' name,
Amen.

When We Feel Helpless
When you feel trapped, call on the Lord for rescue and wait for His deliverance.
Psalms 50:14-15
In adventure movies, we often see people trapped and helpless, frantically looking for an escape. Real life can sometimes feel that way too, and as we begin to look for a way out, our prayers become filled with requests for deliverance—in the form of physical healing, changed circumstances, or additional provision.
Did you ever consider that even more important than physical rescue is spiritual liberation? (See Ephesians 6:12.) First and foremost, Jesus Christ delivered us from the power and penalty of sin. He knows we’re helpless in the face of sinful habits, uncontrolled emotions, and ungodly thoughts. He wants to free us from these sins.
May we follow the example of the psalmist, who encouraged crying out to God for rescue (Ps. 50:15). Admit your helplessness to Him and to yourself. Confess any fears, self-reliance, or unbelief in your life. Then turn your gaze toward the Lord.
Let the Holy Spirit fill your spirit with the truth of Scripture. Meditate on it and commit yourself to following His way. Then trust God and wait on Him to change you from the inside out. A day will come when the helpless feeling is replaced by the joy of being free. When it does, give God the glory.

Look at history: Every empire, dictator, and movement that tried to destroy the Jews is gone.
- Pharaoh enslaved the Jews. Gone.
- Babylon exiled the Jews. Gone.
- The Romans tried to erase Jewish identity. Gone.
- The Inquisition hunted Jews. Gone.
- The Nazis murdered 6 million Jews. Gone.
- The Soviets oppressed Jews. Gone.
The Jewish people? Still here. Thriving. Growing. Building.
Antisemites don’t want to admit it, but they are always on the losing side of history.

The Old Rugged Cross
On a Hill Far Away
"And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha." (John 19:17)
The Hebrew word golgotha and the Latin word calvarie actually mean "skull." The Romans had selected a place of execution outside Jerusalem (Hebrews 13:12) but near the city (John 19:20), near a public highway (Matthew 27:39), and easily visible from some distance away (Mark 15:40).
This has led many to speculate that it was on a hill, as in the first verse of the well-loved hymn "The Old Rugged Cross."
On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross, The emblem of suffering and shame;
And I love that old cross where the dearest and best For a world of lost sinners was slain.
Truly His cross involved great suffering: "Christ also suffered for us....Who his own self bore our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed" (1 Peter 2:21, 24). Likewise, it involved great shame: "Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree" (Galatians 3:13). But this suffering and shame was not in vain, for as we see in both passages above, it was on our behalf. "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends" (John 15:13).
However, God's dearest and best, indeed God's "only begotten Son" (John 3:16), was slain, not so much for "friends" but for enemies! A world of lost sinners put Him on the cross.
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us...when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son" (Romans 5:8, 10). So I'll cherish the old rugged cross. JDM
